Picked up my Mav yesterday! Delayed by a business day (shipping), but otherwise the tracker was pretty much spot on.

How was the delivery experience with 5 Star Carrollton? That's my dealer but I don't have the truck yet. It's been stuck in the Mesquite railyard.

I had a pretty decent experience. No pressure or markups. The usual dealer buying tips apply regarding financing, extra warranties, and negotiations. Do triple check in case you want to order any accessories for any possible delays or shortages - I had to follow-up on ordering the hybrid placemats after a couple weeks and one salesman said one for his customer took 3 months. So I play the waiting game again.

Mine has also been there 3 weeks. I suspect it's being held waiting on a module that wasn't installed at the factory.

But it’s at a rail yard . Surely they don’t do maintenance at the rail yard ? I kinda doubt it because if a ford employee got injured somehow it would be on the rail yard premises and the rail yard would not like that . But who knows .

I know it's counterintuitive but when I told a friend who works at Toyota about the railyard delay he had some interesting things to say.

I’m down to meet with y’all! My Maverick is supposed to hit the dealer this week. It’s in Ft Worth now, and then supposed to be moved to a staging area in Mesquite. Then to Five Star Ford Dallas ASAP. And I’m in Prosper, so with just $432 and the Tollway, I can get anywhere in DFW. ;-)
