This is what I was thinking, though I would prefer not to use that runtime method of tracking position as that can be a bit finicky. It’s better than what I have now thoughyou could rig a simple Arduino circuit that would run each motor to the end of the track to zero it, and then run them the other way a specified number of milliseconds.
A little tricker would be to add an extra couple of buttons to more easily program it, but till a minor project.
