You have to permanently remove some radiator slats and then have the Big Mouth cover a large portion of the radiator.

Dumb. I’m going to turn mine “upside down” and cut a hole in my hood. Much cooler that way!

Would love to see someone do someone actual real world testing so people can stop arguing over what they believe is better. The only benefit from this would be slightly cooler temps at the intake, but the real intake air still has to pass thru the intercooler, so likely irrelevant. Possibly more air density, but the little turbo can only suck in so much air. So mainly just for looks, but also blocks a good size area of the radiator. If you have $150 to blow, go for it, but I wouldn't really expect any benefits from it.

Yeah, this is why I really miss the days of car magazines. They tested stuff regularly.

I don't disagree, now it's just "believe the influencers we pay to help us advertise."

I finally went to their website to check it out. They say a tune for this accessory is not required (I stated this in an earlier post) but could be helpful. Nobody I could find is posting numbers on this intake. Before, I was trying to help you with relevant information. Here is my personal opinion: It's a joke, a money trap. Their answer as to whether or not the engine will need adjusting (no) says a lot to me.
Prove me wrong. Take your truck to a dyno shop and get the numbers. Install the part and go back to the dyno shop and get the result and post it. That will answer your question and end all speculation but it won't be cheap for the definitive answer.
Another much cheaper way, is to go back to the vendor and ask for a list of shops that have dynoed the part. If they can't furnish a list, that will say a lot. They should be marketing the dyno results as a sales tool - they are not. That says a lot to me. I wish you good results in this endeavor. If you find an answer, please post it.

There is a recent post of a great looking EB with these installed who is getting 300hp on the dyno. He also has an upgraded exhaust & intercooler & tune though:)

I deliberately checked for the ram air alone knowing that the intercoolers have been dynoed and would muddy the waters and not answer his question.

I checked the website too & called the “Big Mouth” dumb in an earlier post on this thread.

Then user “Lemonhead” started a separate thread showing off his tuned Big Mouth 300hp Maverick & I felt dumb:)

Although I agree the Big Mouth alone is mostly (entirely?) just cosmetic.

Here is Lemonhead’s beast:

Come on Velossa Tech. Dyno the truck with goofy part on, take goofy part off, dyno again, then post the results on your web site and use it for marketing. What have you got to lose? A decline in future sales?

From their point of view it makes sense to not have the data

Velossa Tech seems like an innovative 3D Printing success story located down in Hollywood Florida. Good for them!

AI tells me:

### Founding and Early History

- The company traces its roots to **Velossa Tech Engineering Corp.**, a Florida Profit Corporation originally filed around 2014 (document number P14000077869 via Florida's SunBiz records).

- In **2015**, Dan Becker (Lead Design Engineer and CEO) launched **Velossa Tech Design** as a branch/spin-off of Velossa Tech Engineering.

- It began with custom wheel center caps produced via 3D printing technology.

- Demand grew quickly, leading to expansion into other aftermarket parts, especially ram air intake systems.

- Becker, recognized in industry lists like SEMA's "35 Under 35" in 2016, highlighted the company's innovative use of 3D printing for affordable, high-quality customization.

### Growth and Focus

- By around 2016 onward, the company shifted emphasis to performance-oriented products like grille-mounted ram air intakes (snorkels) for better cold air delivery.

- They developed proprietary in-house 3D printing machines to enable mass customization without high costs.

- The mission centers on blending performance, aerodynamics, and visual appeal through innovative manufacturing.

- Products are sold directly via their website (velossatechdesign.com), as well as through retailers like MAPerformance, Vivid Racing, and TurboKits.

- They maintain an active presence on social media (Instagram @velossa_tech with tens of thousands of followers, Facebook, etc.), where they showcase installations and customer builds.

### Current Status (as of 2026)

- Based in Hollywood, Florida (address: 2848 Stirling Rd. Suite D, Hollywood, FL 33020).

- Remains a niche player in the aftermarket automotive space, known for quality and U.S.-made parts.

- No major funding rounds or acquisitions noted publicly; it operates as an independent, privately held business.

- Products continue to receive community discussion (e.g., on Reddit, forums like Focus ST/RS, Stinger, etc.) regarding performance gains, installation, and comparisons to stock or competing intakes”

When I was on an amateur road racing team, engine power was basically the last on the list, including after driver skill (AKA, more track time). Basic bolt ons (cold air intake with thermal wrap, exhaust header, high flow muffler), got about 2 seconds a lap, but a more experienced driver got us about ten seconds a lap.

Came across it and never saw it before.
Wondering if it's any good?

Yup running dual big mouth kit. Helps feed cool air to the intake keeping your charge temps low. Love them!
