Any XL Hybrid owners having AC issues? Intermittently works then doesnt?

Ok I am going to admit that I didn't do a search of the forum before posting this. But just looking to see if this is a common issue or just me. This summer a few times I would start my truck and drive off and notice the AC was blowing hot air. After hitting every button and switch there were no corrections that would get it to work. After stopping at a store then getting back in and firing up truck then driving off magically the AC would work. I was just in to the dealer for an oil change and asked them to check it out. The service advisor could see on her computer that my truck was showing codes for AC issue yet those codes were only visible to her.....it did not throw a dummy light on for me. They were unable to diagnose on this visit to the shop and asked me to return for another stab at it.

I had this issue once and I don't remember how it resolved. I chalked it up to me not having learned enough about yhe truck (only had it a week). The AC has worked well since then.

Ok thanks....mine is a 2023 so I have 36k miles on it. The Ford Pass app showed a refrigerant error but only the dealer could see that portion of the screen

Next time your in have them check your outside ambient air sensor. This is located in the grill area and if you hit anything it can bust the harness.
I hit a retread (truck had a blowout right in front of me) and mine shattered. The truck then thinks it 0deg outside, so all heat, no air.

I had a similar issue. I had those same secret level codes. It appeared to be low on freon from the factory. No leaks were detected and it was drained and refilled. That was over a year ago and I've had no issues since.

It was in the dealer shop yesterday......the tech replaced a sensor or valve of some kind. Fingers crossed that was the issue
