Any Hybrid maverick has this ungodly noise issue?

Do you have experience turning on MAX AC without ICE in your Escape hybrid? I am not sure this noise must be happen or not

Sorry no. I don't think I've ever used the max setting ever. Past two FORD's have A/C that was assembled with Bobby Boucher's special glacier water or something and they freeze me out at the 72 setting lol. I'd die if I tried the max setting.

From what others are saying though, on that setting it's normal.
Probably a good idea to avoid MAX if you can to save your compressor and it's irritable bowel syndrome noises.

I guess we can ask others if this happens at other settings too?

I visited the dealership, and they said just leave the truck for 4 days, then their mechanics will look up the issue a few days later from today. So I just came back home for now.
I asked for any customer experience about this, and then they said no idea and never seen before.

Maybe you might not want to go back to that particular dealership?

The dealership told me they do not know anything yet until they start investigating a few days later. even I leave my truck to the dealership, but their mechanics might find nothing. and simply say, "well, when I checked up, everything was normal, why did you bring it? "

I just checked another hybrid cars, I found they have same issue include toyota prius, ford escape hybrid

Interesting. I have a '15 Prius v and my ac compressor is nearly silent on all settings. I've never heard anything like that. Even my loudest dehumidifier I've had sounded better than that. That original ac compressor just doesn't sound healthy... maybe they really are that loud these days, but I'd say that's going backwards for modern technology.

I have the climate control set on auto and 70-72°
When it is over 100° ambient outside temperature. The interior of the truck is over 120°+
When I first start the truck it is loud.
As the cab cools down the compressor goes into another phase and becomes much quieter.

My Tesla model S makes a similar type of sound when AC is on high, but the quality of the sound is different. In my Tesla, it is about 50 decibels, only faintly audible. This sounds like 85 dB? Ie quite loud. This also has a metallic quality to the sound, like maybe the motor is hard mounted and the adjacent metallic parts are resonating and amplifying the sound like when you strike a cymbal? Even if this is normal, it is unpleasant and not well engineered.

For what it’s worth, my hybrid is a little loud sometimes, then quiet as can be. Lets not forget the various chirps, clicks and noises LOL
Some oddities imo but that makes me like it more

I notice this sound as well, just in 4-5 days. I think it's the outside temp is very high. I'm in LA. We had very hot days last week.

I just found I can hear this noise without MAX AC mode.
and yesterday evening was not so hot in Texas.
It was gone after I restarted the AC, but I am still not sure which condition caused this issue.
Before I go back to the dealership, I need to know how I can show this issue to their mechanics.

It's the electric AC compressor. Mine started doing it about 6 months after delivery and Ford replaced it. The new one is worse and they were supposed to replace it but now are saying it is normal.

At one point it didn't do it and then it started. Who knows.

Hi, just curious if your problem has been fixed? I ordered my 2022 Maverick hybrid from the factory. For the first 30,000 miles it ran beautifully, QUIET, no issues. I took it in for the standard safety recalls. The dealership said it was all software updates. Immediately, when I left the dealership, my truck was obnoxiously LOUD. Returned to the dealership, no issues found...

I've had it into the dealership twice since then, they keep it for a week or so, then tell me there's nothing wrong. There was nothing wrong with my vehicle prior to the software update...
