Nope. Transaction costs are so high between the tax and registration that you're unlikely to make anything. Add the price increases on top of that and it's a massive gamble.
Not Really. If the numbers don't work at the time of delivery, you can always walk away. The most you are risking is the down payment when you order which may be refundable.

I've had my 2022 Maverick since October and will finally break 5000 miles this weekend. I would order a hybrid XL next week if I could justify another vehicle because I have kids that will be driving before long. Having a third vehicle would be useful, but that isn't in the cards right now.

I keep hoping Ford will decide to offer a regular cab Maverick with a longer bed in XL trim with a manual transmission and the 1.5 EB engine. It won't happen, but it would be a great spiritual successor to my gone and much missed 1992 Mazda B2200.

I've got at 22 ECO with a sunroof and hitch with 13,000 miles on it. My new 23 ECO with a hitch as the only option is being built July 26th. Really been beating myself up trying to figure out if I should order a 24..... or not.

The MY24 Lariat is what the MY23 Lariat should have been. But IF I decide to pass on my MY23, I won't be getting a Maverick. I'll likely see what Ram is doing with the Rampage, but I'm likely to otherwise pass this segment altogether. My son is 13 and already pushing 6'2". I'm going to have to fold him to put him in the Maverick as it is.

That would be an awesome combo. I think they could at least offer the XL as is with the 1.5 engine. Just make it so it can't even be optioned with a hitch and they'd be a great around town work rig. If they offered it with single cab and longer bed I'd be first in line to order.

good call on the windshield deicer function, i got My '23 L. Hybrid Mav in late April of 2023 so i have not had a chance to see for myself how useful this option really is. but after living thru many brutal northeast Ohio winters it sure sounds like a good idea to me. again, why delete stuff people are willing to pay a premium for (keyless entry keypad anybody)? i may be the slow kid in class but i just dont get it.
Rod, I show the wiper de-icer on my videos. It is an important feature for those of us driving in snow or ice storms (my AWD is in Park City). Ford probably deleted the de-icer because it requires a windshield with an electric grid placed low where the blades sit. Without the de-icer, it takes a long time for the air blowing on the windshield to melt the ice stuck to the blades.

If you can't wait to get to an appointment or don't want to burn gas idling too long, when you start driving with ice stuck to the blades you get a smeared windshield which of course can be dangerous.

My 23 Atlas Blue XLT Lux 360 Hybrid will hold me over until Ford offers a Plug-In Hybrid version. Hope they do it.....but I may have to wait a while yet.

Anyone happy with their truck but thinking of ordering the 24 weather they will take it or not??? Maybe make a few bucks?
Not me, I bought my CO XLT AWD SIBL BAP IN April and plan on keeping it for the long haul. Mine has the now discontinued keypad and plan on keeping it.

No chance.
My 2022 Velocity Blue Lariat Lux Hybrid can't be duplicated, especially for $30,865.

I have a loaded 22 XLT Hybrid that just passed 5k miles. I ordered a loaded 23 Hybrid Lariat for my wife and its still unscheduled. If it rolls over to a 24 I will keep the order and consider selling the 22. I would lose the keypad but I have not used it yet so I think I will be fine. Keyless start and XM radio would also be nice. Would have to choose a different color since I have A51 and won't pay for Azure Gray, but Cactus Gray is nice so probably go that route. With all the price increases the values for 22s and 23s should remain high. My truck has been great and is garage kept and looks good as new so selling it here or to Carvana etc or even trading it in should net me more than I paid for since I got it below invoice back when Granger and Chapman were offering that.

After seeing the new ordering date of July 17th I was very tempted to order a new Tremor XLT to replace my 2022 XLT, FX4, 4k Tow, Area 51 Maverick. I love the added intelligent 4wd system with the locking transmission, locking rear diff, and better bumper angles and ground clearance but losing the 4k tow was a deal breaker.
I think I might get a travel trailer down the round in the 2200 to 2500lb range and I'll need the extra tow capacity and it comes with a trailer break controller and 7-pin connector. Man, if they had the 4k tow option for the Tremor I'd be all over it. I really don't know why they can't give that option and give the extra low final drive, HD radiator, transmission cooler and extra large cooling fan for the Tremor. Why does the Tremor package not have a 4K tow option too? Is the locking diff too weak to tow 4K pounds or the added 1" lift added too much weight to also do the 4k tow? Seems strange to me.

I don't think so. The 2022's, and 2023's seem to be better equipted then what they are offering on the 2024's. Many items are no longer available, or come standard. Also not to much new has been added.

I have a 2022 XLT Hybrid and will have a 2024 XLT EB order placed on the 17th. Deposit was only $100 and refundable and you can choose not to accept it if and when it comes in. After owning the hybrid I decided I would rather have the EB. I’m also looking at new 2023 XLT EB’s that are showing up for sale. If you can get one close to MSRP It can be a better deal than the 2024 and still have features like the exterior keypad, etc.

I was making preparations to get another Maverick for my son. I was looking at an XL Hybrid or giving him my XLT EB AWD to get a Lariat Tremor.

A twist of fate has intervened. My in-laws gave my son their 2004 Toyota LE V6 Camry with 43K miles. Plus, they just spent approximately $5K getting it ready for him.

I have been debating about selling my Maverick since I don't need a crew cab, and I would like a bigger bed. I may order a Super Duty F-250 XL.

Bottom line: I am not going to order a MY24 Maverick like I planned.

I'm doing the math on it and considering. My dealer messed up the 23MY order and I didn't get the 360 Assist. That was a must have item for me.
I can learn to live without the keypad, even though I use it daily, and losing the deicer doesn't hurt me since I probably won't ever use it. I'm kinda excited over the black mirrors, cause I think they'll look sharper with white. But I REALLY love my truck. I realize that I'll be driving the exact same vehicle with just one additional feature. However, this one arrived on my birthday (Given how many issues we had with trying to find out where it was going to end up. It arriving at all was a small miracle). So, it's kinda special to me.
