Ordered a 2022 XLT Hybrid in Dec 21, it was delivered one year and one day later, but now a 2023. I was told they couldn't fill all 2022 orders hence the roll over. MSRP (base XLT) went from $28,500 when I ordered, to $32,700.
Full disclosure - I was contacted by my dealer and told I would have to re-order which makes sense since a package I ordered had changed, but now the order would be at the new MSRP.
I was expecting Ford (Canada) would step up for these rolled over orders and provide some kind of compensation similar to the private offers we are hearing about in the US. Hey I don't mind sharing in the pain, but forced to swallow $4,200 doesn't sit well with me.
I contacted Ford via the chat last week to see if they knew anything. They told me to contact my dealer or wait a few days and contact Ford customer service 800 565 3673. I tried several times today, but every time I get told there will be a questions after talking to a rep (which I have no problem with) it hangs up.
I again contacted Ford chat and eventually was told they have no idea about any such compensation.
I then contacted my dealer who told me Ford Canada said...

"As far as Ford is concerned they aren’t doing anything, they told us to convert orders to a 2023 with the new price and all and get it signed from the customers and if someone doesn’t want just refund their money and cancel the order".

This wasn't explained to me quite like this when I had to redo my order.

Anyone else facing this?

Wow, we must have ordered just a few days apart. We also ordered in December 2021 but we received the 2022 model in May instead of having to roll over to the 2023. I'm sorry that's happening to you.

When I have had to talk with Ford Canada, I have messaged on Twitter and they always ask how I want to communicate. Maybe you could have them call you instead of you calling them?

Does anyone know if our Canadian Brothers/Sisters are eligible for the Private Offer from Ford to offset their price change/increase?

Good thought.
I haven’t given up yet. I will keep at it until I get a reasonable explanation.

Thanks for asking the question Braderick!
Not much of a reaction from anyone up here in Canada.
maybe they will be more responsive when they get their deliveries.

I had a VIN and was scheduled for first week of Sept, but got rolled over to 2023. I did receive a credit to offset the increased cost when I did the paperwork for the 2023 order. Also upgraded from a XLT Lux Hybrid to a Lariat Lux Hybrid as it was now available as a Hybrid in 2023. In production now hope to be built this week.

Thanks for the info. Sounds like my dealer may have missed something when the new deal was written up. I did enquire when this roll over took place.

My order from May 2022 was cancelled and re-ordered as a 23. Dealer said at that time he's only seen Bronco orders getting the compensation from Ford. But he actually did agree add some options I hadn't initially included and do it at no extra cost. But who the hell knows if the thing will ever come...

I'm also a 22 (May) to a 23 rollover. Hybrid XLT lux cp 360. I was at the dealer in mid Dec, just to wish them a Merry Christmas, my salesman asked me to wait a few minutes while he checked to see if there were any updates, and his face broke into a big good news smile. Your order (same order number as the my22) is now in the "unscheduled, clean" status. You may have the VIN and tentative production date by Dec 23. Well with the weather on those dates as well and just before the holidays, I wasn't surprised when he didn't call.
Earlier this week he told me that there was nothing further, the hybrid is the hold up.

When ever I talk to them, the salesman or sales manager bring up the issue of price protection. "We have a signed sales agreement OMVIC form for a certain price", we are not sure how the final paperwork numbers will show, where, how much $, but we have the bottom line price that was agreed upon in the original signed sales agreement.

Kind of good, my Cyber Orange Maverick will not see any of the 22/23 winter weather SALT.

Hi, everyone...We are in exactly the situation described here. We ordered our Maverick XLT Hybrid in February 2022. Then we re-ordered at the dealer's behest inn September 2022, same truck except of course a 2023 model. The vehicle arrived in early January, and we picked it up Jan. 13th.

The sales rep. told us when we picked it up that there were no rebates being offered by Ford. Then from the Ford Maverick 2022 Canada Facebook Page, I read that some Canadian rollover owners were getting the rebate. I inquired of Ford (first through Chat and then Customer Service) and was told to talk to the dealer, which I did. The dealer now says, yes there are rollovers in Canada, but we didn't meet the cut-off date - which after further inquiry, turned out to be Nov. 19, 2021.

So...if you ordered a 2022 Maverick on November 15th, 2021, you get the rebate. If you ordered it on November 20th, 2021, you don't. It seems highly arbitrary to me. I'm interested in whether there are others in this situation, or if someone has resolved it somehow. Thanks, everyone!

I ordered 26/11/21 and received a significant credit on my new 11/08/22 signed contract. Maybe the difference is I had a VIN and build date for 03/09/22. Still don’t have my truck, but I do have a signed purchase agreement.

If I had of known there was not going to be any type of price adjustment I would have bought something else. I dont feel it is worth the extra I payed. Live and learn. I do know one thing, this is the last Ford I buy.

Was the rebate an offer or certificate Ford, or the dealership giving a discount based on your my22 order?

Don’t know if it was a rebate or cert. I know they gave me the discount and they intern were reimbursed by Ford after the fact. Also got an additional $1,500 for financing. Iā€˜m buying it out right and will pay it off after 3 months. Caveats to this were only rollovers that were scheduled with VINs got the rebate (2 at my dealer) and they told me they hadn’t seen anyone but me get the finance deal.
