I have the 2" and the 4" Craven antennas. They both get terrible reception. Good for looks, lousy for picking up stations. City dwellers might not have a problem with the local stations. Keep the original in your glove box for when you go on road trips and actually want to listen to the radio.
Shouldn't be using a car wash that touches you car anyway.

Appears to have some issues. Some reviews cited paint wearing off, others say it doesn't fit, just for Rangers?
Screwed right onto my Maverick no problem. No paint is wearing off after 6 months. And radio reception has been the same as the factory one. Like another person mentioned that maybe because I'm in a city area.

Curious what the purpose of a shorter antenna is for?
There are some among us who think an 8" antenna is offensive and a 2" antenna adds at least $20 to the aesthetic value of the truck.

My garage has very little headroom, so the stubby antenna was needed to clear the garage door when it's raised.

Thanks, guys. I think I'll pass, didn't realize that reception would be reduced.

There are dozens of short antennas on Amazon, many to fit some or all? Fords. Any experience with a good one ???
I got one on Amazon, it’s called the stubby, $20 so far so good. I put it on this morning. (2-7)
