I have read after having recalls performed people experienced issues with their Maverick. The sudden loss of power while driving down the road. They had to somehow get off the road or could of been crashed into. After restart they had check engine light warnings. These are documented on NHTSB site if you don't believe me.
So no thanks. I don't need issuses cropping up after having recalls performed. Will it happen? Who knows but is not worth finding out. If my dash lights go out I have a GPS to monitor my speed before taking to get repaired. I can check my turnsignals to make sure they work. I can use my mirrors and turn my head to look while backing up like people did before rearview cameras were invented. Not every Maverick will experience issues needing the recalls. Mine has been flawless except for the deep sleep issue. Always starts just no lights when opening the door. Will buy a AGM when mine craps out if it is out of warranty.
Ok. It's your vehicle. But at our dealership, we haven't had the recalls to cause any problems in the Maverick. But it's your vehicle, your choice.

Took mine in for oil change 3 days ago and asked them NOT to complete the camera recall as I have not had any issues. I was surprised they did not do the recall as it is a safety issue. Plus I used the Ford points to pay for it.

Since it's your vehicle, we can't do anything that you don't authorize. However, some dealerships will have you to sign something to say that you refused the recall in order to cover them if something occurs because some customers will develop "amnesia" and say they didn't tell us not to do the recall. We live in that kind of world today.

Ok…….
Hypothetical…….
I’m not having any problems with my mirror.
I bring my Mav in to the dealer for an oil change. I tell them to NOT do the mirror recall. They have me sign, saying so.
Couple of months go by. Got some problems with the mirror.
Will they refuse to do the recall (Ford’s dime), because of that paper?

It should be recalled and redesigned as it is a safety issue - drivers of other vehicles going the opposite direction are distracted and thrown off balance when a '25 Maverick passes by them.

It's very similar to the eye-busting effect that a Cybertruck or Aztek causes in the same situations.
I can see the distraction of people saying WOW, Ford finally fixed that ugly front end.

No. They'll still do the recall. The only time they'll be an issue is if you have an event such as an accident that someone could blame on the the mirror malfunctioning as a result of the recall not being done.

At least Ford recognizes the problems and does the recalls, and have been doing them in a timely manner.
True they could not recall them and then when the part fails after warranty is up we would have to pay to have it fixed!!

I've had the first recall done, and just yesterday I was noticing the backup camera stayed on for like a 1/4 mile of forward travel.
Yep. We had no problems with ours. Waited a long time to do the recall. Last oil change we had the recall done. The other day my husband backed into a spot. The camera stayed on. Wouldn't shut off. The radio stayed on too. None of the screen controls or the on off button worked. He turned off the ignition twice. Still on. We went on for breakfast. (Too early to deal with that crap on an empty stomach and no coffee!) Came out and started it up and it was fixed. See if it happens again.

I haven't had the recall done yet, but the other day the same thing happened to me. I rebooted, though, and everything has worked fine since.
