2024 Mav Lariat Hybrid, purchased March 2025, built October 2024. I've been getting the typical deep sleep and battery saver alerts that I've read many posts about, despite the fact that I am a daily driver who averages 1,000 miles a month. Took it to the dealer and -- pretty good news -- got an AGM battery for free, under warranty. However, the service manager said the technician stopped running diagnostics after seeing the factory battery had a "bad cell," thus needed to be replaced. My questions: Will the new AGM battery stop the warnings? Or will I eventually need to have the dealer do the code work on the AC software or whatever? Predictions, please. Otherwise, the truck is perfect for me.

Built 10/24 - and who knows how old battery actually was built?
Unless you have a picture of it.

Mine built 3/24 - battery from 48th week of 23, picked up 5/24.
Enough time for any battery to be damaged slightly just sitting around. Made it past a year though! But not the best foot to start out on. (My current bigger warranty replacement not doing so good after only 3 months, so old battery not current issue)

Several have reported their AGM's they personally bought back in 23 have shown problems more recently.
There is a claim it's a over-discharge issue outside of some obviously bad intermittent parasitic drain. Several of us have logs that seem to show an under-charging issue.
If you seem to have an issue - it'll likely return, eventually.
Keep reading the threads - start with a few of the 5 that now appears below your post.

2023 Hybrid Lariat here. I started getting the deep sleep messages about 14 months after my AGM self install. The AGM will significantly lower your non-start risk but, the sleep messages will eventually return. The good news is the AGM has a deep discharge capability. My Mav has started with a 25% SOC and 11.7v. I monitor the 12v closely and I’ve never gotten it above a 76% SOC. I have to drive Mav 5+ hours to get a “full” 12v charge from driving. As mentioned, it’s a combination of parasitic draw and stupid recharge algorithm. Measuring incoming amps to the 12v ….. I’ve seen it fall to 1-3 amps with only a 45% SOC and zero amps at 65% SOC. Ridiculous!!!! If either the recharge algorithm or the parasitic draw was solved, the deep sleep messages would virtually disappear. Don’t count on Ford’s incompetence to solve or change either issue.
