Another Hybrid Shuddering Thread.........Sorry

I took mine in two days ago and Ford authorized 2 new axles. 16,000 mi.

I asked for a loaner when I first took it in. I asked again when I picked it up. They said it is too much trouble to ask Ford at this point. Should have gone to the other dealer.

Heading up this morning to have them look at it. I was clear I would schedule when they could give me a loaner or make it a one day repair after knowing exactly what the problem is so they can have the parts ready. Let's see what happens. They had the truck for a week and forgot to do the sticking brake repair.

The guy in charge of the service advisors took a ride with me. Mentioned they had already replaced axles on one Mav after feeling the vibrations. I will drop it off for the day July 5th and see what they say.

Got my hybrid back yesterday with two new axles under warranty. Invoice said it failed the vibration test, whatever that is. No loaner.

Get it fixed sooner rather than waiting. Mine was practically undrivable by the time the dealer got the parts.

Thank you! I have an invoice from someone else on MTC who had a similar experience. Time to print that out and have it handy for Wednesday.

Update. They are replacing both front axles. Hopefully get the truck back tomorrow if not Friday. Thanks for everyones input, especially the invoice picture. Nice to go in educated and guide them through the process.

3 days at the dealer and they still don't have the axles to put on. Hope it happens tomorrow or else I may take it back cause I probably need it next week.......

If you are reading this encountering the same issue, it takes time.........

Picked up the truck with 2 new axles and they got whatever the latest recall was done as well. Drove 400 miles Sun/Mon without any issues. So hopefully these axles last. (That's why I bought my one and only warranty ever.)

Thanks for this thread! I noticed the same issue lately, my truck is at 22,000 miles right now. Shuddering / vibration when in hybrid mode, especially around 50-60MPH (like a highway on-ramp). Usually at above 40% engine power.

It does not happen at that speed range when in electric mode, or under low engine power. Guess I will have to reach out to the dealer as well.

What was the mileage when the problem first appeared?

Had you been driving through mud or sand to a great extent? Did you check the CV boots for tears or leaking grease?
