- The fit of the trim around the wheels under the truck looks just not right. It looks uneven and not nice. Maybe other people who are less OCD wont care that much.

OK, OCD checking in here. :) Hello Brother
What do you mean by the trim around the wheels under the truck? Is it possible to show a picture?
Did you crawl under there or put it up on a lift to be able to see it? Were you able to adjust whatever it is?

Also, your truck looks super sharp! Love that blue.
What is the option that provides that keypad? Is that part of the 360 package or luxury package or the XLT?

Thanks!

For the most part I love the truck but there are few things which are not great. Mainly quality related things:
- The plastic trim around the bed is not fit well and loose on 2 corners
- The same trim looks already inconsistent in coloration (even after detailing), would be interesting to see how it looks in few month.
- The fit of the trim around the wheels under the truck looks just not right. It looks uneven and not nice. Maybe other people who are less OCD wont care that much.
- Few of the plastic trims inside were off, I had to pull/push them in place.
- The truck keys are made super cheaply. One of them has still sharp corners and the finish of it is just rough. The second one was dropped by someone in the dealership and dragged on the floor, full of scuffs and scratches.
- I have a small scratch in front of the truck (size of a one cent piece). Nothing dramatic but a brand new truck should not have scratches on. The dealership wanted to polish it out but I was afraid they would damage the paint, left it as it is.

We all know this is a cheap truck but there are things which not cost much money to make it right. But again, those are minor things and overall the truck is very nice but since you asked I wanted to list few of the dislikes. Full report will follow shortly.

PS: My truck had over 26 miles on it. First I thought one of the sales people took it for a joyride but than I found a sticker on the window that my truck was randomly selected for factory test drive. Actually not a bad thing.
Thanks for your report and congratulation on your new Hybrid. Although maybe instead of the word "cheap" inexpensive truck. I took it to mean everything about the truck is cheap, from tires to drivetrain.

Congratulations
If you can give us your feedback on the breaking system. does it modulate properly between regenerative breaking and regular breaking. is it natural\fluid? Do you notice any unusual behavior respect to regular breaking system?
The spellcheck must not work. Should be braking. Breaking is if you want to destroy something. Just a friendly reminder

I picked up my new Hybrid XLT earlier today!! I really love the truck and (with exception of few small things)it looks great. I will post a full report with pictures in the next few days. I am surprised we don't see more reports about Hybrid deliveries here but I guess we will see more in the next few days.

Thank you for the picture. I love the color. I am waiting on an Alto Blue Lariat Hybrid, and I was concerned it would have too much of a green hue. This color looks amazing!

Thanks everyone for your messages. I have added two more pictures in my original post. Please see below answers to some of the questions:

- Regenerative braking is defensively something I need to get used to. No, there is no need to push any button and it happens automatically, but as far as I can judge, it happens all the time. Braking and overall driving feels pretty "raspy". When you drive downhill everything feels pretty "rough" and "raspy". Nothing dramatic but something to get used to.
- The picture of the trim around the wheels is below, I dont know how to call it. And no, you dont have to crawl under the truck to see it. The truck is higher than a normal car and it was actually the very first thing caught my attention as I first saw the truck. I had to adjust it here and there but for me it still doesn't look right, but again it is probably just me.
- The keypad is part of the XLT package
- I ordered beginning of August but last modification was made end of August.

Few other random impressions:

- The seats are super comfy and nice
- The visibility is above average and fantastic for a truck
- The Radio screen in Apple Car play mode has a bad contrast, I have to see how to change it but I think I read other reports about it and it is not possible to change.
- The gas and brake pedals are very steep and it feels very uncomfortable. I am glad I have a
cruise control, somehow I have the feeling I will use it on this truck all the time.
- The lane keeping assist doesn't work when you are slower than 40mph. This is the first car/truck I have seen like that. I also noticed that there is no alarm for the LKA with my car it just vibrates, even though I adjusted for the alarm.

Other than that, still love the truck and very happy it is here.

Will report more as we go.

You are correct. That wheel trim does NOT look good.

It almost looks like the wheel well cover needs to be tucked up under the sheetmetal. I assume you already tried pushing on it a little around the edge? The dealership should be able to fix that I would think.

I'm guessing the raspy feel is what everyone is calling CVT drone? I'm curious to experience it myself and see how bad it is.

Breaking is not always destroying:

As in: currently developing or having happened recently and being released for publication

Just a friendly reminder ;)

My XLT likewise had similar mileage on the odo, and I was assured that nobody had test driven it, was told they test 'em a bit at the factory to check them out. Mine would have been very early production, and I don't mind 'em taking the time to make things right - haven't noted anything not done right (so far), and it's worked perfectly.

CVT droning is because the effective gear ratio is variable it'll hold the engine at an RPM for the desired output. This isn't an issue at typical cruising speed or loads, but at high speed or towing/passing the engine sitting consistently at 4-5k RPM doesn't sound very good.

Right, thats to be expected under heavy load/acceleration. But why would it drone or feel raspy going downhill? Thats what it sounds like this hybrid owner is describing. I noticed the same thing in the TFL hybrid towing video. I also noticed when they tapped the brakes, the drone went away for a bit.

Not driving a Maverick Hybrid specifically I couldn't say. I wouldn't expect the regenerative braking to feel 'raspy'. It could be the brake pads aren't bedded in fully in which case I'd suggest 2 or 3 good firm stops from 50mph or so and see if that improves it.
