Looks like I'm finally starting to get all the pieces together for my build.
I will be breaking it down into stages.
Stage 1: Sound deaden the back wall and the pillars that the rear speakers attach too, then installing the hertz 100.3 coaxial.
Stage 2: I will be sound deadening the front and back door, as well as the pillars for the front and sides. I will be adding either of these speakers I'm not sure yet.
Audiofrog G60s
Ground zero gzuc 650 SQ ii
Euphoria E5
And last option and most expensive is the Stevens audio sa6-cs with crossover
What's everyone's opinion on the speakers for the front if anyone has personal experience with any of the 4 let me know

Ended up going with the audiofrogs it was hard as those ground zero were beautiful and sounded amazing just harder install is what keep me from it.
I'll be installing front doors and rear pillar speaker and I'll be doing cld and mega zorbe on the front doors and cld and LLP on the back wall and some cld and ccf for the pillars and maybe some rock wool insulation in the pillars and any hard to get to areas

So I ended up sending audiofrogs back and these is alot of new things happening. Been talking to MTI in college station not to far from me for doing custom tweeter in the pillars or a custom bracket for a better angle by the window for reflections.
They will also be doing a custom sub box for under the back seat and custom amp rack behind the seat. I am also in talks with them about doing a custom rear speaker trim piece for a 5.25 vs the 4 that's in there now.
I'm also doing my own type of vb3 barrier, more pictures to come. But just a couple pictures of the barrier I made. The doors will be getting opened again and the inside is getting a 3rd layer of mega zorbe as well. Will be needing some rock wool insulation as well if I can find some a decent price considering how little I need

Great choice of installer. I'll reserve any component choice back and forth as everything starts with a great and proper install in followed by what your ear likes. Obviously both can impact each other. Long time SQ guy here that learned not to listen with his eyes.

I'm curious about your own "vb3-esque barrier". Is there any lead like the VB3 ? Looks to be 2 pieces of foam adhered to each other. Wasn't sure if you had a dense materiel, lead or MLV, between the two.

Why did you choose the mega-sorb material?

Looking forward to your response! Good luck with the build! I'm excited to work with my installer and design a unique install. I've already got the equipment picked out, but seeing as these trucks are econo-boxes, I'm interested in controlling road noise and panel resonance which I'm sure are both plentiful.

I'm going back and further between a few pairs of components right now, the CDT's are a really good deal but I fell in love with the way the Steven audio sa6 sound.

Yes sir it has a 1/64 layer of lead between the two sheets of overkill, which is a little stiffer then I want, for the rear doors and floor I'm gonna go with resonix ccf which is very soft.

Only reason I chose the mega zorbe is because how hot Texas gets, I want to also fully insult it and the melamine open cell foam is amazing for backwaves as well in layers on top of it, I plan on trying to make that area 2.5'' thick, right now it's about a 1.5'.

Thank you very much, this thing has needed a lot of love, but when it's done it's gonna be amazing. Good luck with your build, these need some audio love and sound blocking and deadening

I highly recommend MTI for your sub box, Chris pate and james skaggs are really good people. You should check out some of their work they have done.

Thanks for the info. Here's a build Octave Audio did for me a number of years ago Audio Build. Still playing strong and loud. I'll most likely be using the same amps, sub, midbass and something new widebands from AP - I like the wideband drivers.

Nice, that's a absolutely build, I love mosconi amps, such amazing and clean output. And those illusion audio are just some of the most beautiful speakers and subs I've ever seen.
I ended up going with helix for my amps but that might be changing to mosconi soon, especially after seeing how sexy they look in your build lol

So I ended up buying 2 pairs of components to see which I like more, some phd fb6.1 pro and also some focal ps165fxe. But I'm also thinking about trading in the PhD and getting some illusion c6 now after seeing sir John's build. I am also selling my helix amp now as well lol

Well looks like I ended up getting the illusion audio, to amazing of a tweeter to pass up. Now I have a extra set of focal ps165 fxe but those are good back ups I guess lol.
I'm getting a 6 channel amp most likely gladen or mosconi. Now the waiting for things to get ordered.
I got in a audiomobile gts2110 in but I am also gonna test a stereo integrity sql 12 and see if it can fit (not likely at all)

Just wanted to let people know that I am no longer doing the 5 1/4 rear as it's just to much time and money for the little gain between the two.
For more info I returned the illusion audio and went to the PhD fb pro for the midbass and the PhD studio tweeter along with a focal dsp and a helix M six amp. So my fxe will be on sale very soon
