I fixed the dashboard buzz/rattle thing. I bought 5 pieces of black craft felt from hobby lobby, and a can of 3M spray glue. I spray glued the felt and rolled each piece into a tight cylinder. Then using a wooden paint stir stick I wedged them down across from center out, between the dash and the windshield. Problem solved.

My 2023 XLT has a rattle in the passengers area of the dashboard. Originally I thought it was the plastic emergency gas filler funnel that was put in the glove box. NOPE, that is now out in the bed storage compartment and the rattle is still there. I have a feeling there is a section of wiring harness inside the dash that when going over rough road spots, vibrates and hit the plastic dash.
If the rattle is on the pillar post, it might be the buckle of the seat belt hitting against the door post, unless it still rattles when someone has the seat belt on! I think if that were the case, I would take it back to the dealership and ask them to remove the cover. Just make sure that they understand that if they break something removing the panel, they replace it at their expense, not yours. I have had problems with our local Ford dealership where I had the tracks replaced on our sunroof. They broke the retractor for the headliner and are refusing to fix it unless I pay for that part. It wasn't broken when I took it in for the repair, but it is now and I am not going to pay for something they did! In fact, I refused to order my Maverick from them, as they tack on a $3000. dealer fee. (Gar Yeomans Ford, Palm Bay, Florida )
Are they connected to the Mafia?

My '23 Lariat Lux has a rattle or clunk on the passenger side. Sounds like it's coming from the center pillar. What is a safe way to pull the cover off?
A pillar and right door on mine....very annoying just turn up radio...Gonna wait till I get a few 1000 on truck then bring it in...lol

FYI I just had traveling tech in his escape come replace Drivers A pillar trim after clip came loose after air bag recall was done. The new replacement trim piece was slightly different in how it fit the head liner. I noticed that there may be a possibility that the A pillar trim itself could be rattling against the windshield. Also of interest the retaining harness to keep the trim from flying around during deployment was in a slightly different position. I would suggest a quick test for rattle would be inserting playing cards between the trim and the windshield. If that stops it then maybe
Something soft inserted between edge of trim and windshield.

That speaker grille...... fold and envelope and do this.........see if your rattle goes away. If it does, replace it with a small piece of foam.

Passenger speaker grille was my main culprit, too. What's funny is, even before getting the '24 Tremor, I've had to DIY fixes on a few of my previous vehicles in the same location.

same here on the thunk sounds. It almost sounds like something isn’t bolted down and on certain bumps it makes the sound.

Folks, I may have mentioned it, but it's likely the windshield alignment pins hitting the metal body. It gets WORSE when it's cold.

Get that checked. That's what fixed mine. Ford has no TSB for it still which is insane.

How do you get there? Can you please give a quick direction?

You can go to the dealer and ask them to look up the rattle in their system. I believe it's a well known issue at this point. Search windshield alignment pins on here and you'll learn more.

01/28/26: I’m currently driving a 2024 Ford Maverick Lariat 2.0 AWD, purchased used in October, and I’m completely fed up with the interior rattles. I was initially impressed during the test drive, and the truck looked great on paper, but after only a few months of ownership, that impression has worn off.

I’m dealing with two persistent rattles—one on the driver’s side somewhere behind the steering wheel, and another traced to the passenger-side seat adjustment handle. While driving, the seat handle rattles constantly unless someone applies enough pressure to stop it. I plan to bring it to the dealer at my next oil change to see if it can be resolved.

Overall, I’m extremely disappointed with how cheaply the truck feels after living with it. I’ll be trading it in at the first reasonable opportunity. Some might say, “What did you expect for the money?”—but I expected more from Ford and admittedly bought into the hype. The dash feels like it’s made of flimsy, toy-grade plastic, and the assembly quality leaves a lot to be desired. While I’m sure some workers take pride in their work, the overall execution feels rushed and careless. To top it off, the center speaker grille is already warped.

I bought a Lariat, not a bare-bones fleet truck. It’s completely fair to expect solid interior fit and finish—especially on a 2024 model. Rattles that appear after only a few months of normal driving are a quality issue, not “normal truck behavior.”
