Thank you!Screen2Auto
Still, what kind of phone? I read that this was coming to pixel phones, but not sure if mine will get it, or not. (Motorola here)It's a server side roll out so you pretty much can only wait for your turn.
I have a pixel 6a, android auto on phone is up to date. Using Motorola MA1 for Bluetooth connection. Still no coolwalk. Do I need a USB cable hardwired for the update. Or does the Maverick need to be connected to my home Wi-Fi.Still, what kind of phone? I read that this was coming to pixel phones, but not sure if mine will get it, or not. (Motorola here)
It is 100% on and controlled by your phone. Not anything installed on the maverick. No update needed for the maverick.I have a pixel 6a, android auto on phone is up to date. Thank you for the info. This is interesting. So, it looks like cool walk chimes with Android auto 8.6+ my version is still on 8.5xxxxx. I did find an apk that you can download, but I think I'll just be waiting. I hope Android auto isn't limited to the most recent version of Android. (I doubt my phone will have another update)Galaxy S20 5G
Gotcha. Shouldn't matter if you're not more than 2-3 versions out of date.Still, what kind of phone? I read that this was coming to pixel phones, but not sure if mine will get it, or not. (Motorola here)
Thanks for replying. When you say server roll out, what server are you referring to? Google? It's a server side roll out so you pretty much can only wait for your turn.
80s man 80sssssThanks. I found a pretty good "90's alternative hits" Spotify station. Even if some of them are 2000's songs.
The Google servers that Android Auto runs on. The head unit or car shouldn't matter in this case because it's just mirroring the software on the phone. The phone will matter if your OS version is more than a couple versions old. It's hard to tell for sure, but the phone may matter even on newer software if Google chose to roll out to specific models first. However, this doesn't seem to be the case. I'm on a Pixel 6 and haven't received the update and I think someone in here is on a couple year old Galaxy and did recieve the update. Thanks for replying. So its OEM specific as it works on Mazda?
and some Mavs, I guess depends on phone?
I'm confused
