Never heard this one…wonder if anyone else has heard this. Happened twice now.
Driving down the Mass Pike and some
Ma$$ho1e decided to break the laws of physics and place his Jeep into my present physical space. I hit the brakes hard, the Mav took a little bounce left, and then squatted down and stopped. The person behind me in the tiny Toyota disappeared and then reappeared right next to me. Unbelievable that nobody crunched. I yelled out “Thanks MF” and the Maverick actually said “You’re Welcome”. My wife was w me and heard it too. Same kinda thing happened a few months ago but I was alone and preferred staying out of the psych ward, so I didn’t advertise it.
Anyone else ever have this happen??
Weird…cool, but weird…

Interesting thread, and you aren't out to lunch, as my Mav has replied to me as well.

My wife was in the truck, I can't remember the question I asked it but it answered and I then replied "thank you" and my Mav made a comment on how polite I was!

I double checked with my wife, she heard it as well so I just thought that I should continue speaking nicely to it.

No need making it angry!

;-)

For the record, I try to be nice to everything, not just people now! AI is everywhere...

Did you have a phone in the vehicle with you at the time? The AI assistant everyone is stuck with now will respond to certain prompts.

If you had a navigation app running, that could also do it. Once I was using Google Maps and someone cut me off, and when I expressed my disappointment out loud, the app said, "That wasn't very nice."

Yes, I had Waze running both times. But it wasn’t running/connected through the Mav. It was a full-on panic moment, so I wasn’t looking at the phone, but both of us agreed it wasn’t Siri’s voice. Nor did it sound like the Waze voice. And it didn’t seem to come from the phone, which was mounted to the very left air outlet next to the driver window. My wife heard it clearly too…so it didn’t seem to come from the phone. But in a situation like that who knows….
One more fact, I did notice the collision warning thing in the little screen was active…but I was a little too busy to really watch anything except my truck doing the accordion act…
Kudos to the people who designed the braking system!

My XL also talks.
When I make a phone call, the truck uses its speakers and microphone. Whoever I call when I'm in the truck is speaking like they are the truck.

Well..
Mine (Blu), Did talk to me today, as well..

A "a-hole" German car, squeezed in front of me...
I applied the brakes, just as my dash "Lit-Up"..
With the Klaxon sound and Flashing Red Dash....
