XLT Maverick Hybrid has been parked at Ford dealer waiting for a part since March 24. Originally serviced for same issue in Dec 22 - was a failed harness now told this heat exchanger near exhaust has issue with stuck valve.

I called Ford customer service last week and opened ticket - no update so far. Hopefully someone can clear this up soon. Bonus, hailstorm hit the dealer parking lot - so I'm going over tomorrow to check on it overall.

Starting to look at other trucks now for a replacement.

I brought mine in for the airbag recall and the heat exchanger.

During the initial inspection they ordered parts for both jobs and mentioned the exhaust and heat exchanger system has been revised and back ordered until end of May.

They reset the computer and said if the check engine light comes back and it drives normal it is still ok to drive until the new exhaust system comes in.

It immediately came back and I monitored the codes in the time being to make sure no other issues were being masked.

Got a call the following day the airbag parts were in, but was too busy with work so made an appointment for 2 weeks out.

Dropped it off and got a call only a few hours later and surprisingly drove home with the newly designed exhaust and heat exchanger too.

This was all within the last 3 weeks so I would think the parts are becoming more readily available.

I have heard of a couple instances where the new exhaust system gets damaged in shipping and they have to wait for a new one.

I fell you. I'm at nine weeks waiting on a software fix for the Explorer I purchased because my Maverick was taking too long. Maverick is now being built in two weeks...

Not dealer's fault; they are stuck waiting on Ford.

Did you just get the code or loose any coolant?
