Recall long time ago a post wondering about Mavericks in Hawaii. On vacation on Kauai, on a hike to see the Nepali coast. Spotted this one parked near me.

From what I hear little trucks are very popular in Hawaii. I sold my 87 Toyota that had a straight body but needed a ton of work to a dude that had it on a boat 2 days later on it's way to the islands.

I was on the Big Island last week. Going north on HI 19 towards Waikoloa I saw one headed south. In Kona I saw another parked. Perfect Island trucklet.

Couple on a dealer lot on Oahu (Honolulu) back in September when we were there, and saw one driving on the big island a few days later

Thanks for the pic. I am the one who did the original post regarding Mavericks on Kauai. I was in that parking lot hiking the Nepali trail. No Mavs to be seen when I was there.

My boss just bought a 87 red yota from Oregon. It should be on Maui in a couple weeks. He paid a about a third of what my Tremor cost lol.
