My A/C takes about a minute to get going if the truck sits for a week.

Mine seems to take longer than it has in the past. Does not take as long as it seems. I suspect that the start up procedure was modified with an update when air bag recall and or positive cable overlay TSB. Possibly more things are being checked with I suspect the compressor being started before the fan as it seems like once fan starts the air blows cooler sooner. It might be related to cabin air filter restrictions as I have 17k+ miles and 19 months on my original. This 105+° heat is hard on me and I am sure the truck also. With the constant air flow through the cabin filter the slow speed monitoring will have less air flow most likely. Have not checked but believe I am within the estimated replacement milage range.

At temperature of 115° or so it takes a couple of miles driving before I get and cabin cooling, at 95° I'm getting cool air within 1/2 mile of driving.
I'm guessing at high temps the AC cools the battery first.

It takes about a minute to really get going in the hottest part of the summer, but in usual Ford fashion, I'm reducing its power by the time I'm down the street.

I've noticed this too. It takes about 15 seconds for the radiator electric fan to spin up and then the air starts get get cooler. It sucks when you use the remote start, get in and turn the key to drive away and the A/C basically starts over. Its been over 110°F here with the heat index 🥵.

Seems reasonable for the AC to take a minute or so to cool the entire system enough to be noticed by occupants, while not being instant. Based on posts here hybrids take a bit longer.

I agree with that. That thing will freeze me out pretty quick and I turn the fan to the lowest speed

2023 Hybrid Maverick. Anyone think the air conditioner is slow to start?
Yes! I have a 22 and yes it is strange! The air cools fast but it doesn’t blow out properly at first.

All the answers fall into place. If it only started to blow any air right at the start, would.be great. Our Prius blows air instantly and even warm air feels good when you live in the Phoenix Valley. This delayed air on the Maverick is minimal, I love driving the truck anywhere!!!

upon start up, it takes about 20 seconds for the fan to blow on my eco boost. All my other vehicles the fan blows the second you turn the key. I'm not saying its a bad thing. Today was the first time that the automatic engine shutoff engaged (probably because it was below 100 in the morning). The afternoon the auto shutoff does not engage. I do love how well the AC system works. It blows super hard and cold. I certainly will miss the eco boost when my Hybrid gets built at the end of the month.

The air works great, my original post was about the delay to start up.
I have a 2022 Hybrid and I have no issues regarding the a/c. Starts up fast and cools quick.
So, when you turn the key on, the fan starts immediately?
