I never said refuses to do factory warrantyScheduling service on a machine before those folks who did not buy the machine from your company is a totally different matter than REFUSING FACTORY WARRANTY work all together
See post #41. I NEVER claimed they would refuse to do the warranty work. I said " But if you need a recall or warranty work done the closest dealer MUST do it but on their schedule not yours. Meaning their customers will get scheduled ahead of you and don;t even think about a loaner vehicle unless Ford supplies it. " I stand by this. Unlikely if you bought your vehicle elsewhere you are getting a loaner UNLESS Ford supplies it. Dealers are not in the habit of loaning vehicles to someone who did not buy from them. Yes they have to do the recalls and warranty but when THEY decide they have the time. Now if you are NEW to the area they may want to attract your business and get right to it. In today's world it is very easy for them to run the VIN, see that you bought it 2 years ago out of state while living 10 miles from that dealer.Scheduling service on a machine before those folks who did not buy the machine from your company is a totally different matter than REFUSING FACTORY WARRANTY work all together
EDIT: the example of my relative and the Nissan was to show that damage in shipment is NOT covered under warranty by Nissan at least. Ford might say "oh well a third party damaged it but we will eat the cost." Doubtful
