Additional key fob?

2023 lariat hybrid - we have the original 2 fobs but wanted additional one or two without costs>$100-150. The best I could search yielded older posts; Amazon items not available. I missed out on the most recent Costco special event guys that do extra keys. I don’t think we have the additional warranty for lower cost at the dealer, either. Any suggestions are appreciated.

I had the key cut at the dealership for $20. The newly cut key is not as smooth when inserting it into the ignition or door locks as the original fobs. I don't use it, I only have in case I lose one of the original fobs. You need two working fobs to reprogram/pair another fob to the vehicle.

I actually went to a home security business and they could cut the key and program it.i only spent a year trying to find someone other than a dealor to provide and cut me a key.my dealor still doesnt cut keys,said machine to do it is too expensive!

Batteries Plus+. Makes key fobs. You may to check there if you have one in your area.

Thanks for the tip, made me think of asking the car stereo group (Mike’s Audio in Baton Rouge) that installed the Wolfbox g900 pro backup mirror/camera for us.

Bought a fob/kjey from aliexpress. Had it cut by local locksmith for $25. Programmed it per the instructions. Now have a spare on the shelf. Works fine.
If you have the high-buck model, you have a fob that is different, as you have push-button start, and I do not remember seeing that on aliexpress.
I got the 'specs' needed and searched for the fob/key.

Appearance is exactly the same as the OEM without the logo. Circuit board inside is indistinguishable from the factory product. I could not program(operator error) the first
time, so opened the case for comparison.
Any smith that custs this style key can cut this one. Guy did it in a shopping center parking lot. He powered the machine with a gas powered inverter generator. Very portable. Maybe he should buy a Maverick with 110VAC outlet...
