Probably a dumb question but what’s the trick? All my other vehicles are older and you just open the gas cap and pour. Easy. This truck, I spill gas everywhere cause of the flaps.

Long sharp knife and pliers. Cut the center piece (flap) out. Make it a straight tube. Won’t hurt anything.Probably a dumb question but what’s the trick? All my other vehicles are older and you just open the gas cap and pour. Easy. This truck, I spill gas everywhere cause of the flaps.
How often are you really going to use the funnel? Look for the one in your truck maybe behind the back seat or buy one. Keep it under the rear seat and use it the once or twice a year you might have to.What’s an Owners Manual ?
where would they have stashed the funnel ?
and why complicate filling the tank with those stupid flaps
Funny you should ask....and why complicate filling the tank with those stupid flaps
Yes, try using the supplied funnel.Probably a dumb question but what’s the trick? All my other vehicles are older and you just open the gas cap and pour. Easy. This truck, I spill gas everywhere cause of the flaps.
Twice a month we use 5 gallon cans to add fuel to our vehicles. Using a funnel is not difficult. How often are you really going to use the funnel? Look for the one in your truck maybe behind the back seat or buy one. Keep it under the rear seat and use it the once or twice a year you might have to.
