Can anyone who has taken delivery tell me if the camera can be activated while in drive? I’m looking at the trifold hard bed covers and they cover the back window when opened fully. It would be nice if the camera could be activated to see out the back. Or when Towing to keep an eye in the load.

That makes a lot of sense.

When my Maverick finally gets here I will be doing a write-up on installing our TrailerConnect trailer camera system to integrate with an LCD-equipped rear view mirror. Here's some links to look over in the mean time:

Not that I've seen you can set it to delay but that just holds camera for a few extra seconds.

I wish that it would for security reasons. I'd like to see how close to my bumper assholes are when they stop on my butt at lights. I have had shady people approach my vehicle from behind before and lean in on my driver or passenger window to talk to me, I'd like to better see them coming.

The only way to do it is to put it in reverse while driving. Yes the camera will be active but you will also be in neutral until you slow down to a few mph and it will then put it into reverse. Nice that it says your transmission but stupid as it should allow you to see behind you while driving.
I bet someone will figure out a way to wire in a switch to activate the camera while driving correctly

This sucks. On my brothers Gladiator you can drive with the rear camera activated. Don’t understand why this isn't a basic function.

Looking for a spike trailer hitch insert, maybe a foot or so, that way they will be warned if they get too close :D
