Nice! I wanted to get the spray in, but the luxury package forces buyers to get the hard drop in with the MY24
I'm in the same boat re:drop in bed liner. I think I'll use the drop in for a year, then take it out and get spray in.

I got:

Good rubber floor mats
Center console cover.
Prox 15 roll up tonneau cover with side rails (my favorite purchase by far)
Elevate bed rack
Back seat cover (aka the dog taco)
Cheap, washable front seat covers
Mesh cargo net
Dashboard tray organizer
Steering wheel cover

Will eventually get mud flaps, door sill protectors, maybe a bed rug.

I have no specific needs per say, I guess that this was more like a poll for a light discussion topic.
Here are some suggestions: Tailgate Letters, mudflaps, tint, tailgate assist, bed mat or liner. Also get some good ceramic graphene wax and fine clay mit.

Never heard it being called a dog taco before haha! Awesome list!

I know I want either the bed cap or the tonneau cover, but having never had a truck before I don’t know which would suit my lifestyle best. I have a surfboard that hasn’t been to the ocean in a long time, and have plans to take a trip to fix that, and maybe hit up some rock climbing sites on the way.

I chose the cover so I could roll it up and haul tall things. Plus it's easy to reach stuff in the back of the bed.

The elevate rack takes care if the kayaks Ir even a rooftop box.

If I had to keep expensive things in the bed I'd probably go for the cap. Or at least a hard cover.

We've had ours since April, also my first-ever new vehicle.

-Kia mirror (homelink for garage plus the autodim is great)
-tonneau cover (ford pass points paid for almost exactly half after taxes)
-dashcam
-blanket for backseat (we use it a lot since no trunk)
-board for bed divider (don't really use it yet though)
-today bought a skinnier water bottle, the big wide 32oz one I used fine in Odyssey doesn't fit Mav cup holder

EDIT
Forgot the (Disc Golf!) Dynamic Discs Maverick to put in the back window... :D

Which steering wheel cover did you get?

Ordered a MY24 Maverick XLT. It’s going to be my first truck and first vehicle I’ve bought that hasn’t been pre-owned. I know I have some time before it’ll arrive but curious what people recommend.

What “accessories” does everyone recommend getting for the Maverick?
I'm trying to keep the number of "accessories" to a max of 15, but certainly I've spent a great deal (see signature). I'm at 10/15. Led bed cap lights will be #11 and I'll leave 4 slots for future use. I'm sure there are members with 20-40 accessories or more.

If you're dressing up a painted bed, I'd recommend the Ford "Maverick" printed rubber mat and OEM tailgate liner. They work perfectly. Don't mess with a DIY barn mat in your bed or tailgate. Also, notice I don't need tailgate assist.

Make lists of all items mentioned here, interior, exterior, truck bed area, bling. then think of how you will use the vehicle and your personal likes.
For me, the bed is used primarily for shopping trips, but sometimes for dump runs, twice I've had brush piled (and secured) cab high. The bed cap would not work for me. I have a cheap homemade bed mat and also the Ford Hard rollup tonneau cover. It locks and provides security.
I like led lights and did buy the Lasfit products before the Maverick was delivered. (found on a couple of websites a very good prices).
For each item decide on a priority, i.e. floor liners Tuxmats, Weatherteck, etc important in my area, but no so important in an urban area in the south.

When I took a used one at the dealership for a test drive, it was easy enough to open the tailgate so I agree not necessary to have the tailgate assist. Thanks for including the pic! I was curious what the bed cap looked like when in use.

Ha! Everybody notices the bed cap, even though my bump was for the bed mat and tailgate liner. The tonneau vs cap debate is always a topic. Most people, including rural landowners will want the open bed and/or tonneau. Campers, outdoor sports folks and suburbanites might prefer the gear space under (and over) a cap. I'm trying to avoid the little stuff in favor of big upgrades. Here's my accessory dogma:

* Ford Pass points and OEM stuff first, especially in the bed
* A few functional or protective upgrades next
* Use the vehicle as-is before deciding what to add/change
* Add only quality electronic accessories to the 12v flexbed (x2) ports
* I'm avoiding any electrical modifications, even light bulbs
* Save for the big ticket items. I can always add SIBL, tailgate assist & letters, decals, phone holders and storage stuff later.

I’m leaning towards getting the Snug Top bed cap. But definitely going to wait until I actually get the truck before getting anything.
