ACC 3 seconds after stopped

Ok, if the truck is counting to 3 to decide you need to hit resume for ACC then is there a setting that forscan could change to bump that up to like 60 seconds?

If so, where is it?

When using adaptive cruise control in stop and go traffic, the truck with accelerate and slow based on the vechile in front of you. If the guy in front stops then goes within 3 seconds you will stop and then go but if he stops for more then 3 seconds you will not move when he does, you must hit the resume button to go forward again.

So I would think that 3 seconds that the truck is somehow timing must be in a setting that forscan can change.

I suspect there's some safety reason they put this 3 second thing in place but I can't see one.

Maybe you are sitting in traffic so long you get out to stretch your legs and your truck drives off without you?

I believe if you have brake hold on and the ACC auto resume delay time (3 seconds?) expires when you press the accelerator to release the brake the ACC IS STILL ACTIVE and will resume it's activity. I believe the 3 second delay is to be sure the brake hold procedure has been completed. It also appears (I have not timed it but have roughly counted) that on hybrid at least the ice turning off will restart at around 45 seconds if traffic is stopped that long it is hard to say for certain as ice starts and stops so frequently, but the 45 second period seems to be programmed in(?)!
Watch the gray/green on ACC status to see if ACC is still active?
Note: you have to trust ACC to stop because if you help and touch brake pedal at all you will turn off active status of ACC. Just tapping accelerator is notice to ACC that you are ready for ACC to resume.

Feature, not bug:

If you are parked for 3 minutes, truck automatically move to Park:

I honestly haven't gotten into a stop-and-go situation with the ACC since I bought the truck.

Don't want to hit the break or the gas..... want acc to handle that even if the 3 seconds expires.

Understand your want but believe having to touch gas to say you are ready for ACC to continue is a safety feature.

currently the only vehicles capable of doing what you want are the ones with blue cruise active on them. that is the only time I have seen the cluster say auto resume for adaptive cruise. meaning currently that is not a capability of the maverick at this time but with how ford just made all trims of the f150 ship blue cruise ready I wouldn't be surprised if it is on the 25m/y maverick.

Sorry no one has answered your question, but I'm going to join the chorus of detractors anyway.

I mean, you can't just push a button? ACC and lane-centering in stop and go mode is awesome - you don't even get squawked at to keep your hands on the wheel, as long as you're going slow enough. Maybe you want to totally zone out in traffic? I'm guessing the 3 second limit is to make sure you pay attention to your driving and surroundings, even if the truck is doing most of the work. Do that. Pay attention.

Yep, the only time I have experienced what the OP is asking for was when I was driving my Mach-E back from Cleveland OH. Got caught in traffic around Gary IN and BlueCruise was enable so it stopped and started with the flow of traffic.

Even then for this to work you have to have BlueCruise enabled and you have to be on a BlueCruise mapped interstate or divided highway.
