A question about storing stuff behind the back seat

I was thinking of storing some items like umbrellas behind the back seat where the jack is stored. Maybe some other small items. is that a bad idea, could this interfere with any of the electrical components?

I think that circled area is the relief vent for the cabin pressure - - somebody will correct me if its something else. I plan on using it for what ever I can get back there, like a tarp.
