My apologies if this has been discussed or answered in previous threads. I was just told by a ford rep that "If" my order gets rolled over to 23MY then Ford is not doing any price protection but there will be some sort of incentive & that they don't know what it is.
I ordered a base model XL with no constraints and only options were moon roof and bug deflector. The order was placed on 10/29/21.
My question now is should I even consider a re order. Do I trust that 22MY leftovers are really going to be at the head of the line in scheduling. Is the incentive going to be worth the price increase I'm sure is coming with the 23 model. ... I'm not at all happy with the dealership I chose, should I re order with a different dealership. What happens to my deposit if I do that. I know ultimately these are all questions that I have to answer myself, but I'm not above asking "what would you do"? And I definitely welcome any information regarding them.

The latest understanding is that YOU will get a private offer from Ford. It will show up in the system the dealer uses to check for current incentives.

Whether you can move dealers is a little fussy. Supposedly, you can change dealers and your private offer will still be available at the new dealer. It is based on your Id. You will, however lose your priority position for having a MY22 to MY23.

I was just told today by the marketing phone center that I WAS price-protected if my Maverick rolled over to 2023 and that the private offer was in addition to that.

The C in Ford stands for consistency!! :ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO:

Wow, that would be great if your price protected and get the private offer.

The Ford Maverick nightmare continues! I made my weekly call to Ford to check on status. Of course they said same thing as last week. It will be a 2023 MY not 22. No problem, but I started asking questions about how ford was securing our "place in line" they said it was based on COVP. So that said I called my dealer. The only Ford dealer close to me is in Monticello NY... I asked about the covp to which he replied "I didn't do a COVP on any of my Maverick orders" .... my heart sank for the 20th time during this last 9 month roller coaster wait for my truck to be built or scheduled, or ANYTHING! So I explained to him that if I have no COVP, then if I re order on 8/2, I am at the back of the line again and lose my spot. Dealer tried talking his way put of this... asked to ca me back, and we got off the phone. He called back 20 min later stating the covp site has been down since February. But out of all the Maverick orders he put in with no covp, he did get one. (Not buying it) I said cancel the order...I'm done with the roller coaster ride. He asked for a couple days to work on "getting me back into the system" so I'm giving him that. BUT in the meantime, I have hyundai dealer meeting set up after that couple of days... they have them in stock, it's a couple thousand more than the Maverick but at this point my sanity is worth the extra money. No way will I re order a 2023 model and get back in line for another 9, 10, 15 ... ... month wait.
