I just got an email from someone called 7th since research. They want to know about my experience with my new vehicle. Which I don't have yet. Ford selling our data?

Yes, Ford sells customer data. Pretty much every company sells customer data these days.

When I used to work in marketing, I could buy data that included political party affiliation, pet ownership, home cost, how many people lived in the house, income, the number of kids and/or grandparents, and on and on and on.

Privacy is dead in America.

I got it too, but deleted it without clicking the link in case it was a phishing email. If Ford is behind it, you would think they would have at least made sure you received your vehicle before looking for feedback!

And if they aren't then your state DMV probably is (where do you think those 'extended warranty' mailers get your address/vehicle info?)

The email was redirected to my junk box. Where it remained until I deleted it for good. I don't mind occasional surveys but only if they came from the company I purchased from. This does go to show that Ford, like every other company, doesn't have any issues with selling off our info.

Yeah I deleted too but Ford probably just sells a list perhaps when it's shipped. Just disgusts me that Ford would do that. But not surprising.

But the DMV does not even know. Have not received it yet.

That and come from Ford directly. I did not bother to see if they were legit. I didn't care. Just deleted the spam.
