  1. 2023 Woodward Dream Cruise

I think there's some reason to be hopeful. I was surprised at how quickly mine arrived from Mexico; it was actually a few days early. I think the rail delays may be resolving, if they can keep in on the tracks.
  2. 2023 Woodward Dream Cruise

Not that I'm aware of, but I do plan to be there. Unfortunately I'll be driving my wife's Explorer to haul all our family and stuff from Connecticut. We'll also be visiting my son, a Ford Engineer. (Yes, he still has a job)
  3. It's here and I LOVE it

I picked up my XLT Ecoboost yesterday. Sorry for the crummy pic, but its been pouring rain here for two days. The hot pepper red was a last minute decision I made when I ordered last July 19th, and I'm glad I did it. I'm still getting used to it after coming out of a 300C for several years...
  4. Signed buyers order vs. window sticker

I'm picking up my new truck on Saturday. The salesman told me that I'm not responsible for the price increase; I get the price at the time I ordered and put the deposit down. It depends on how the dealer put the order in.
  5. 📬 1/12/23 Scheduling Email Received Group [EMAILS NOW ARRIVING]

I got the same email last night. Original date was March 6th, Moved to the 13th.
  6. 📬 1/12/23 Scheduling Email Received Group [EMAILS NOW ARRIVING]

This may be a stupid question, but are they built sequentially by the VIN? Mine is 25,0XX
  7. 📬 1/12/23 Scheduling Email Received Group [EMAILS NOW ARRIVING]

Hi Everyone. My first post, but I've been watching for a while. Thank you all for the great information. I received my e-mail at 12:30 EST today. Build Week is March 6th 2.0 Ecoboost, Hot Pepper Red, XLT with Lux Group, spray in bed liner. Original Order 9/17/22 at Colonial Ford, Danbury...
  8. Is it normal for delivery of an order to be the next year and not the model year that you ordered?

I can see a couple of advantages to it. Since it's already one model year older, it may be cheaper for collision/comp insurance. Also, if you live in a state that taxes the car as personal property, as mine does, the property taxes will be less because it theoretically is somewhat depreciated.
  9. 7th sense research

I got it too, but deleted it without clicking the link in case it was a phishing email. If Ford is behind it, you would think they would have at least made sure you received your vehicle before looking for feedback!
  10. Is/will your Maverick be your first truck? Are you new to Ford?

That's not a boat. It's a yacht with a landau roof and opera windows.
  11. Is/will your Maverick be your first truck? Are you new to Ford?

I had a "79 El Camino (I know, not really a truck) and an '84 B2000, which only died due to a frame fracture. I'm honestly not a Ford fan, and have had crappy luck with them over the years. However, the Maverick seems to be the only game out there that fits my needs, and I'm now on a AZ...
  12. How many of you ordered a Maverick without even test driving it?

I had the opportunity to ride in a pre-production prototype about 2 years ago. (I have some connections). I didn't get to drive it, but from the ride it seemed solid, roomy, and punchy enough with the 2.0 Ecoboost. I'm an old guy that was brought up on big V8's and RWD, and still love my...
