Just received my truck and how crazy I must be to wait 26 months to get a new Lariat hybrid built for me. If I never hear the words “dealer allocation and constraints” it will be too soon. I have several four letter words to describe the scheduling system that Ford uses on the Maverick. My dealer did not drop the ball on any of the 3 orders and dotted all I’s and crossed the t’s correctly. I believe in supporting your local hometown business and how are small hometown dealers ever going to grow if they don’t get allocations for popular models? It looks like that thousands of hybrids have been built that were ordered many, many months after my order. Some get built in 6 months and I waited 26 months. What’s wrong with this picture?
I am trading in a 2020 Fusion hybrid with 50K miles and have not had ONE service repair needed. Keeping my fingers crossed that my new hybrid is as good as the old one. My rant is over.

So did it help? I mean after the rant? If not, I hope owning, driving and saving fuel/money with your new Maverick will. Best of luck with your new truck.

I got tired of waiting nearly two years for what was SUPPOSED to be a blue 2023 XLT hybrid. It's never showed up in the build schedule; seems like the emphasis is on buliding the XL base model or the top-of-the-line model.
Just two days ago my dealer took delivery on a XLT hybrid that the to-be owner passed up...it's white with the black onyx interior and black appearance package and I'm taking delivery on Monday. I have never 'settled' for a vehicle before in my many years of buying cars, but these aren't normal times and I feel lucky that I can finally get a hybrid Maverick in my trim level and with a better (to me) interior color.

That's not a car purchase - that's a prison sentence!

I missed the order window for MY23. So I waited until they opened again in July to place my MY24 Hybrid order. Even though I ordered day 1, its stories like yours that really make me think I will not see my truck this year.

Reorder means pay more $? I saw someone posted here, after 1 yr waiting, they got new model without extra payment.

Congrats on finally getting your truck. I'm in Kansas also, who is your Ford dealer?

I ordered a Bronco and a Maverick in mid-Dec '21 from Don Hattan Ford in Augusta. I believe Don Hattan is considerably smaller than any other Ford dealerships in proximity to a metro area, but as I've driven around most of the state for work or pleasure, I've seen some really small towns that have dealerships.

Got the Bronco in April '22 after expecting to wait more than a year. It was very lucky timing, Ford built a large batch of high-spec 2 door and I was the only 2 door order DH had at that time. My Maverick is a decked out ecoboost awd and it got built in July '22 (but delivered in early Sept!), but I still got both in well under a calendar year.

At any rate, I didn't order a hybrid so that definitely is why I got my Maverick far faster, regardless of dealership. And hope you're enjoying your truck. (y)

Man that’s a long wait but I’ve seen posts like that before. I had commented how people were waiting two years to get their truck and had one guy go crazy on here relating he did not believe it. Sorry it took so long. I waited 18 months but I commend you in your patience. 👍

Not the case for XL. It is currently a constraint; and odds are, it may delay an order right now. That, and a Hybrid - both of which are in great demand.

Your delay may have been insufficient allocations. Doesn't matter if it's a large or small dealership; if they have taken more orders than they have allocations, you may have a very long wait.

Welcome to the forum, Renegade, and best wishes for your hybrid to be built this model year.

In the meantime, you may wish to use the "Find a Vehicle" tool on Ford's website to check available dealer stock in your area, or other areas if you're willing to travel. Just as one example, Long McArthur Ford in Salina, Kansas lists many new Maverick Hybrids on the lot for MSRP.

Hey Kevin.

Congratulations on FINALLY getting your Maverick! Can't believe you have been so patient but I think you will love it.

Now that you have it, perhaps one of the first mods is to add a Maverick Truck Club decal so you can properly “represent.”

Two styles/sizes available:

Maverick Truck Club Decal (Glossy) | MaverickTruckClub - 2022+ Ford Maverick Pickup Forum, News, Owners, Discussions ($5 delivered)

Maverick Truck Club Decal (Transfer) | MaverickTruckClub - 2022+ Ford Maverick Pickup Forum, News, Owners, Discussions ($6 delivered)
