2025 Tremor Upgrade: Key Reasons and Impressions

I recently traded my 2024 Lariat (10,000 miles) for a 2025 Tremor, motivated by several notable improvements:

• Comfort: The Tremor’s driver seat offers superior support and comfort compared to the Lariat, resolving previous ergonomic issues. The left side of the Lariat seat seemed too rounded resulting in the left leg resting uncomfortably against the door handle.
• Technology: The larger screen with a 360-degree camera and wireless CarPlay represent significant upgrades.
• Ride Quality: The Tremor provides a smoother ride and transmission, with a refined engine sound.
• Height: Entry and exit feel easier, despite a minimal increase in height.
• Towing: Although the Tremor’s towing capacity is limited to 2,000 lbs (due to radiator size), it meets my needs for towing a boat and trailer (1,800 lbs). Handling is comparable to the Lariat.
• Trailer Features: The Tremor includes Pro Trailer Assist and a 4-pin connector, while the Lariat offered both 7-pin and 4-pin connectors plus a brake controller.
• Fuel Efficiency: Both vehicles average approximately 23 mpg in mixed driving conditions.
• Convenience: The Tremor’s touch door handle locks are reliable; those on the Lariat required multiple touches for locking.

After purchase, I replaced the Goodyear off-road tires with Michelin Defenders for reduced noise. The Defenders (as compared to Cross Climates) were chosen for their deeper tread, longer warranty, nearly identical ratings and cost savings.

Accessories:

• Hard aluminum rollup tonneau cover (Ford app) – a substantial improvement over the previous soft cover on the Lariat held down by velcro.
• Bed separator using custom-cut 2x4s.
• Compact trash can with cup holders (Amazon), fitting securely in slot behind the center console.

This upgrade was driven by personal preference and comfort, not economics.

That was my impression too when test driving both the 25 lariat and tremor that tremor was smoother on the roads. Besides noise, any other improvements with the newer tires vs old stock ? Thanks.

Nice, very nice! Love the space white; what color was the Lariat? Can quite figure out the picture of the back seat........... Is the "bread crumb/dandruff pattern the original and the gray a cover or vice versa?? Just a suggestion, but the tinted front windows (same percent as the rears) would contrast nicely with the Space White. I also like a tinted curtain on the front windshield, but obviously personal choice.

Lariat was white. The speckling is original as part of the Tremor badging.

Congrats! The seats are identical as is the transmission but agree with everything else you've said. If I were to own another EB it could only be a Tremor.

Very nice. I love the looks of a Tremor but I am not willing to give up my hybrid powertrain. I would love to see more interior pics. I haven’t seen the ‘25 Tremor interior.

How do you like the EB MPC of the 25 versus your EB in the 24- do you notice any obvious differences?

I found the 25' Tremor to be a little be on the noisy side too, especially with the Goodyears. I installed sound deadener in the doors and back wall that made the biggest difference. An added bonus was with the extra weight to the deadening material, the doors would have a solid feel especially when closing. I can't bring myself to change the tires "yet" but plan to sooner than later.

I'm in the same boat, with only 2,800km I can't justify getting a new tires for my #Tremor but I will... eventually

Engine definitely quieter compared to the 2024. However, I didn't drive any other 2025 models.

No way! Remember the 2024MY was a Lariat with the extra Tremor package added
So the 2025 is a Lariat, I know, called just Tremor with all the goodies
