What is your dry weight for your camper?

Around 2700. Max is 3500. I had it close to how we would travel and had 850 lbs less than the GCVWR of 8130. I was under the max for both the trailer and truck by about 600lbs each. The GVWR of the Mav is 5320 and the trailer’s is 3500. Together these max weights exceeds the GCVWR of 8130. This is why I don’t have 1200 lbs to spare. Took it to CAT scales to verify everything.

Did you take it to the Roundabout RV Park? Heard some good things about it. Our little town keeps growing! It grows from 28k to over 60k on football weekends. Unfortunately the infrastructure is still set for around 10k.

Not yet. I will wait until grandkids are in town. I have toured it. Kind of pricey when I can stay at Sardis or Enid Lake for $13 a night with full hook ups.

18 mpg would remind me that the trailer is back there at every fill up, not that's not to be expected hauling a heavy load.

What speed are you towing at? I have a 16' travel trailer that is about a foot taller than yours and I get around 13 mpg at 70 mph.

The speed limit. Most of it was 70. 55-65 for the rest. I normally get around 28 on the hwy when not towing.

You are looking at Canada dollars not USA. It’s not cheap. Ours was loaded at $45k. They hold their resale. Saw several used 2023 units with a firm asking price of 41k. It came down to an Airstream Bambi for us. The Bambi wasn’t as nice and was 20k more.

There are several American fiberglass trailers that are much cheaper, but the quality difference is easy to see. Seventy percent of Escape owners are from people moving up from cheaper units.
