Finally got it! Take a look at this beauty of a truck! I can’t tell you how happy I am with my purchase. I opted for the XL with 2.5L hybrid FWD powertrain. I added spray in bed liner, Copilot360 1.0, trailer tow hitch, and floor mats. Before I even drove it home, I swapped out the steelies for a set of Voxx Vento 17x7.5 Machined w/ Dark Tint wheels. Tell me what you think about them. They were only $146 each from Discount Tire.

Here are my impressions after driving it for 2 weeks:

THE GOOD

1) As a previous poster said, the base sound system seems improved from the previous years. Can’t confirm this but it’s my subjective impression. More full sound which seems to have no gaps in the frequency range. Even the bass is decent and audible unless you’re driving at high speeds with rough road noise.

2) Interior colors of the XL are sleek. They look even better than Ford’s photos. I prefer it over the higher trim colors. To me it’s like a blacked out theme.

3) Truck is quiet in the cabin. At least quieter than my last car, a 2019 Hyundai Elantra. This makes for a more peaceful driving experience which also makes the stereo sound better.

4) Seats are great for an economy truck. Soft. Good lumbar support. Easy to get a comfortable position for someone who is 6’1”.

5) infotainment screen is HUGE. I knew it would be 13 inches but when I first stepped in, it appeared even bigger. I also feel like the screen is responsive without noticeable delays. So far no bugs or glitches or crashes.

THE BAD

6) When I use the remote start via FordPass, the truck makes a very loud whirring, whistling noise which I can hear from inside my house. Not sure what it is. But it doesn’t occur when driving or when I start the truck manually. I’ve googled it and it seems common. Kind of annoying but at least it only happens with remote start. If it occurred with driving, I’d have to take it to dealer.

7) Gas mpg is showing to be lower than I was hoping. It’s possible this is because it’s winter time and the cold temps reduce the battery efficiency. I notice it most when driving on highway. I’m getting between 25-30 mpg at speeds above 70, not the advertised 33 mpg. Around the city, the mpg is better, averaging 40-45 once I learned the art of regenerative braking.

Overall, I love this truck. I’m looking forward to years of utility and enjoyment.

Great write up and welcome to the forum. It's good you're experiencing more good than bad. It's also nice to know how improved the refresh is even on the base model. And I tell you, putting on a nice set of alloys makes a world of difference with appearance. It makes it look like a more expensive truck.

Great color choice by the way. I'm so glad they brought Velocity Blue back. It was only available on the first model year, 2022, then they discontinued it and replaced it with a darker shade called Atlas Blue from 23-24. IMO, it didn't look as good. If I were to get another one, this would be the color. Either that or Eruption Green.

Enjoy your new truck. It'll be a world of difference compared to your Hyundai Elantra. And I see you've already put it to good use with that last pic (y) Can't do that in a Hyundai! 😁

Yup! And let me tell you, once I started tossing those firewood logs into the bed, I was glad I opted for the bed liner.

i agree that the Eruption Green looks great. My only issue with it is it clashes with the blue interior. The other colors seem to match fine. But something about the hue of the green (which by itself looks very nice) doesn’t match the interior. They’re too similar in shade, I think.

Hey, some people prefer smaller screens. Like my sister. She actually prefers minimal or no infotainment screen.

At least on your Maverick you have physical AC/climate dials. I do miss that.

Congrats and welcome! I'm enjoying my 2025 very much! Looking for warmer weather so I can get it a good wash and then install my Truxedo soft roll tonneau cover.

Nice looking truck you got there. Rims look really good, they accent the velocity well and enhance the overall look.

And I have a cubby that I haven’t used in 3 years of ownership! 🤣 That velocity blue is really sharp. You have a nice looking Mav.

I bought a Hot Pepper Red Lariat off the showroom floor. If It would have been that blue I would have been just as happy. I dig the wheels too.

If hot pepper red were a standard color without extra cost, I would have chosen it. Looks really sharp.

The cold is really hard on hybrid mpg. If you are a diehard, wait until you get some engine temp to run the heater, otherwise it runs the electric heater and the EV only cycles are much shorter.

True that. I guess it’s good I live in the south. Rarely gets below freezing. But of course the week I buy the Mav, it drops down to 18. 🤷🏻‍♂️
