have you consider leasing it?

fortunately the maverick is way lighter than the 6000 lbs vehicle I do not need to carry a tank around town.
as far as depreciation there are also accelerated depreciation called 200% and 150% if you don’t want to depreciate 1/5 each year with the standard 100%.

You're right, section 179 deals with GVWR. But that's a rating set by Ford (and/or maybe the government?). I don't think you can arbitrarily change it yourself by overloading the vehicle.
Yeah I understand now. I misunderstood exactly what GVWR exactly meant, figured it was worth asking though. She said with the right options I might be able to get it there, but I guess not.

Doesn’t apply for leasing but yeah I believe she said I can depreciate up to $18k in the first year.
