Yup, to Ford, the definition of a Veteran is somebody who served within the last 2 years.
Their definition of a Veteran is the same as yours - someone who served. Their program isn't applicable to all Veterans, only those who meet specific conditions - which they do publish under their Military Appreciation Program. It is really geared toward Active Duty and Retirees.

Yup, basically a smart way of “looking like they care” without having to lose too much money.

Even the guy who killed Bin Laden isn’t eligible.

Even for those who were permanently injured ?
I would love to see them expand the program to support Combat Related or Service Connected disabled veterans as well. Since they use IDMe to verify your military connection then your medical status would have to be tracked in IDMe. That might violate some laws.

Pretty unfortunate for an American car company when someone can go buy a Santa Cruz and get a Veterans rebate regardless of how long ago they served......

I found this statement on a dealer's Military & First Responders web page -

Ford Maverick $500 discount for veterans 1648399240111

DAV, PVA, and Veteran's Advantage give you options. Veteran's Advantage, with their $35 membership, give you X-Plan pricing. My dealer won't support X-Plan pricing for the Maverick.

You can, as others mentioned here and in other posts, join a Farm Bureau and, after 30 days, get that $500 dollar rebate.

From what I can tell, you can't stack the Military, Farm Bureau, and/or First Responder rebates together.

I got out of the Coast guard in 1982 and mine went through in about 5 minutes. $1000 right off the top.

Go back and keep digging. Plus you can get it after the sale. click on the link below.

I followed the link above, signed in with IDme and was told I didn't qualify.

Did 8 years, got out in 95, and I am service connected for disability (not that that part matters, but its been in some discussions)

Remember Ford has different "Programs" for different sales regions based on your zip code.

The statement is: “active, retired and those within 24 months of separation“ (not retirement). (Hate to correct Tim, but his post was not quite accurate).
