My Hybrid was averaging 49.5 MPG before I had the brake control modular recall serviced ! Now I can't get it passed 45.6 MPG ?

Has anyone had this same issue ?

Is this mileage hand-calculated by you? Or are you just going by what the truck says the MPG is, on the instrument cluster display?

If going by the truck display, perhaps the recall may have possibly included a change in the MPG calc., which was never accurate in the past. I have not had the recall done and my truck's calculation is off by about 5%.

There were many changes in that update. Some people notices a milage decrease, others saw no change except much smoother slow speed braking. I noticed that my 22 Lariat Hybrid enters deep sleep a lot more often than before. I believe one of the changes was the charge level of the 12V battery. My battery is never at the 12.6 Volt level after driving and is usually at 12.3 V. When it reaches 12.2 I get the annoying deep sleep. Thank goodness its usually parked in the garage so I don't have to de-ice it,

IT has been documented by many owners who have had this upgrade have seen a decline in MPG, I too have seen it decline.

Mine declined for a tank or so and now it seems like I'm getting better mileage and more electric mileage

Your truck learns by your driving style, as part of figuring out your MPG. When they did the recall, they probably reset it, so it’ll have to learn it again. My ram truck did the same thing after each computer flash.

Its possible it wiped out historical MPG data the display uses for calculations. I know when I had a different recall done, all my Forscan changes were wiped. I need to go back and turn off that damn double-honk feature again.
