Rodeo. Theres another posting on how fast can you drive on battery power alone(e mode).

He hit 91mph in battery mode, another post shows a decent distance at 80mph.

I dont drive that fast in my Mav, however i can go a couple of miles at 55mph, with some little hills here in the hill country. I think my best was 6m, thats with varying speed and some little 40ft hills, slight elevation change. I usually will drive 2-3 miles on battery, i can excelerate from standing start to 55mph with no traffic around.

I’ve had both an FX4 Maverick and a hybrid. Get the hybrid. If they ever produce an AWD hybrid, it should be an even easier choice. The eCVT is better than the EcoBoost clicking away. Both have their benefits and are very nice though.
If ever an AWD hybrid is announced I will switch but not for an AWD EV. Gotta have the range of a hybrid.

Having had a Cmax hybrid prior to this I try to drive the ECB like it was. I punch it to quickly get up to speed and then back off. Of course it doesn’t have the electric motor to kick in at that point. We were getting 44 mpg overall with the Cmax and so far 25 mpg with mostly city driving on the Mav.

Then there is the part about the dash readout is always 3-4 mpg over reality.
Absolutely right! Never trust your dash to be accurate. I've always used pen and paper or a calculator. The difference is huge. That's also why I average out 3 or 4 tank fulls not just what I did today.

Holy hybrid Batman! Sarcasm is hard to catch on the internet but people being butt hurt is easy to spot.
It was a joke and more about the impressive MPG I received on one trip! Obviously if you want 40 mpg and to worry about the Mav catching fire, get a hybrid.
Averaged 32/33 MPG going about 70-75 in the rain today for a 3 hour trip in my ecoboost fx4, 4k tow. Had the racechip on Sportsmode the whole way, will try to see what happens in eco next time. Glad I got the turbo over the hybrid with these averages, especially when seeing this, https://www.caranddriver.com/news/a39539233/ford-maverick-hybrid-fuel-economy-tested/. and now i'm hearing about recalls and fires in the hybrid

Hey everyone. I was able to take my first mini road trip with my Mav since I got it a couple weeks ago.
Allentown PA (338’ elevation) to Hershey PA (411’) for a concert. On the way to the concert I was in left lane traffic avg 80 mph in normal drive mode and received 29.8 mpg.
On the way home I decided to take my time. I put the truck in eco mode. Sat for 10 minutes trying to leave the concert and started the drive home. On the highway I found a uhaul and started drafting away going on AVG 60 mph and received 40.7 mpg by the time I got home. Definitely was pretty blown away.

Same. I got 39.8 on a 4 hours, all highway, drive. How you drive is key.
