Looking to add a lightbar around the tow hitch of my 2023 Maverick. Does anyone know which wire I can tap into from the 4-pin or 7-pin connector for constant 12V power? Thanks!

There is no +12V constant power on a flat-4 socket, but the RV-7 has one.

Thanks for the diagram. Do you happen to know the wire gauge for that red #4 pin?

Why not tap power from the dedicated "Flexbed" power wires? Ford put them back there specifically for this.

If you tap into the trailer connector, you run the risk of triggering trailer detection errors and disabling BLIS.

I want to keep the wires under the bumper area. Is there a way to snake the flexbed wires down under the bumper without them showing on the outside of the truck?

Bed walls are pretty hollow. You can 100% snake it down so they don't appear visible on the outside of the truck. And I agree that using the dedicated 12 volt is likely a better approach.

You can either snake it down, or trace the wire to where it plugs into the main harness under the truck.

This view is under the bumper, looking up at the tail light area.

Great, I will take a look. Is the purple 12v and black ground?

Yes. And can confirm that they use 16AWG wiring.

Just keep in mind that the Flexbed (rear powerpoints) remain engaged based on a Forescan setting, which defaults to 90 minutes unless the truck is in power saving mode.

Look at this as an option. I used this plug and play adapter to add an LED lightbar with brake/turn signals below the tailgate. This adapter gave me a 4 flat without having to plug into the factory 4 flat which would have disabled the copilot360 functions. I think this might help with what you are trying to accomplish.
