Sorry OP. Keep us posted.

These horror stories have me thinking I should flip my Hybrid XLT (likely August delivery) and move on to something reliable. With my work I can't afford my car being FORD - Found on Road Dead. Frustrating because otherwise the Mav checks ALL boxes for me. Hoping Ford can figure this out. Maybe they've sourced substandard parts or inexperienced labor. Idk.
I'm probably going to flip mine. Carvana is offering 38k for mine and I'm sure if I trade in somewhere I can get that or more. Depending on what the issue is of course. If it's a major issue, I'll be going back to Toyota for everything like I did before.

Well, there ya have it folks.

"A few other people" have had issues, better sell your car. Can't argue with science.

I think a few other people on this forum have had the same issues. At this point I would classify the Maverick hybrid in the extremely unreliable category...

All these issue have made me nervous about getting mine now..My current vehicle has never let me down and it's a Kia. I need reliability and that's what a new vehicle should be giving you... Keep us posted on the fix.
And how many owners out of the thousands that have been produced post about having no problems?! If we had true numbers I bet it highly favors the problemless…

How do you know yours will have problems?! What if the real % of problems was less then 10%, wouldn’t that be good enough?!

I’ve had mine since December and no issues. My addiction to accessorizing is another thing!

I like the look. I’m not sure how much it actually deflects. I want the window deflectors too. Which mud flaps are you going with?

And it is likely less than 1%. Significantly less. For 10% of a model line to have the same issue would be absolutely catastrophic, and recalls and stop-sell orders would be slapped on them immediately.

Only Ford knows failure rates and so far they ain't telling. Best we can do is hope for a reliable build and make a decision about whether to keep/resell based on our individual risk thresholds.

Yup… but I am betting the % rate of failure isn’t high. Who knows could be wrong
