I’ve noticed in a few pics that there is not a receiver where you type in the code on the “B” pillar on the XL trim only. I didn’t notice until after I ordered but I went thought to see if it was an option and it is not.

This is the “fleet option for my guys to be able to get in and go while leaving the key in the glove box.

Any thoughts on if this will be able to be done after market pretty easily?

I believe the main difference is the dealer (or owner) installed number touch pad is attached with sticky back tape.

Yeah, it's basically just a stuck on battery-powered remote. So it's not impossible someone could steal it and use it to gain access to that vehicle later.

This would be cool to give in the truck cubbies for beach trips were you leave the keys in the truck.

@Darnon - know of a Ford push to start option?

It would be a great addition. That is one of the Ford items I liked best about my F250 and F150. Glad it's on the Lariat.

So, one can remove it without leaving wires or a hole?

Alternatively, assuming the wiring is already in the door like it is in other Ford trucks, you could buy the OEM b-pillar trim for an XLT and replace your old one. Then use Forscan to enable it. This has been done on many F150s which had the wiring in the door even though the truck came without the number pad.
