We have a new 2024 maverick hybrid we will tow behind motorhome. We are new to towing a vehicle. What is best towing system (base plate, tow bars, etc)and braking system(portable or permanent)?

The choices are Demco - RoadMaster of BlueOx I flat tow my Jeep Wrangler TJ using a BlueOx setup - I chose the RoadMaster Nighthawk Towbar and the RoadMaster baseplate which I will install on SaturdayWe have a new 2024 maverick hybrid we will tow behind motorhome. I also used the roadmaster baseplate, and a roadmaster falcon tow bar, as well as roadmaster brake relay switch and rear light diodes. I wired my own charge line with an inline breaker. I am very happy with the performance of all the roadmaster products. You do have to chop out a bunch of the lower shutter assembly - so if that is a problem for you - you can opt for the Demco. ETrailer does a great job on the install videos. I have been very happy with the Roadmaster. That nighthawk towbar is really cool looking!!The choices are Demco - RoadMaster of BlueOx I flat tow my Jeep Wrangler TJ using a BlueOx setup - I chose the RoadMaster Nighthawk Towbar and the RoadMaster baseplate which I will install on Saturday
I also purchased the charge line to maintain the battery on my 2025 Maverick Lariat AWD Hybrid

Yeah I really like my new Nighthawk Tow Bar can’t wait to use it in a few weeks - here’s a pic of the install on another 2025 from RoadMaster so it doesn’t look as destructive as I first thought I will know in a few daysI also used the roadmaster baseplate, and a roadmaster falcon tow bar, as well as roadmaster brake relay switch and rear light diodes. I found the install to be pretty easy - very similar to previous one I did on a 2006 Honda CRV. Tows easy like the CRV also!Yeah I really like my new Nighthawk Tow Bar can’t wait to use it in a few weeks - here’s a pic of the install on another 2025 from RoadMaster so it doesn’t look as destructive as I first thought I will know in a few days

The modification is so slight and I don’t plan to pull a trailer but regardless of that talking with my mechanic and RoadMaster I should not see any noticeable performance difference. I’m confident this will meet my expectations and not be a problemIF you have to cut out parts of the active shutter doesn't that impact performance in some way? I bought my 2025 and have been sitting on the sidelines waiting to get more info on this. Thanks for the info.
I agree it seems the original concern with the 2025 installation was the location of the ACC Radar since it was relocate with the 2025 refresh, but that was found to be a none issue thankfullyAfter speaking with Blue Ox about this topic, I was told while some minimal modifications may have to be made, none would impact the performance of the tow vehicle.
