I ordered a 2025 Maverick XLT FWD August, 2024. It was built in November and delivered to the selected dealership late December. However, we were told that the 2025 Maverick was displaying console errors related to the Co-Pilot system and we were not able to take delivery. Specifically, the Pre-Collision system is throwing fault errors on the console.

I brought the issue to the attention of the dealership owner and he escalated the service response. The dealership has been working with Ford engineers on the issue. To date, it's still unresolved.

I wanted to bring this issue to the attention of the Maverick Forum in case the issue with my XLT (a PRecall?) escalates into a 2025 XLT Recall.

To date, after almost three weeks, I still have not taken delivery of my 2025 Maverick XLT - delivered to the dealer on Dec 27. The dealer now reports that Ford engineers will need to reprogram/code a module. They report a Ford 150 with the same problem. They have no estimate on when the problem will be resolved. The truck continues to sit in a service bay at the dealership.

Nothing is surprising anymore. So much for being held in the beginning for more quality checks.

I've been getting a a 'pre-collision assist not available...' message on my 2025 XLT hybrid AWD. It has been popping up periodically since day 1 -- but not consistently every time I drive, and the 'not functioning' indicator will often go away. Still, don't know if that safety feature that I paid for is actually functional. At first I thought maybe the sensors were blocked by frost or fog condensation, but that doesn't appear to be the issue.

Yep. That’s exactly what the service techs found on mine and kept it from being delivered to me. Perhaps, when they get a fix they can push it out as a WiFi update. Please keep us informed on your truck.

Well that escalated quickly. Two weeks out in the wild and already a possible recall.
Wouldn't surprise me if it ends up being another stop sell issue, its obviously serious enough that they couldn't release it to him, the tech just happened to catch it when preparing it for delivery

Yeah I was wondering how long all this talk of the 25s being built better, ride better, sounded better, quieter, better stereo, better everything.

Apparently roughly 2 weeks give or take a week.

Just got my XL, w/CoPilot and I wanted to quickly verify (safely) it all works.
Back into a spot, all kinds of lights, OK.
Cut the corner a bit, let's me know.
But, the front collision sensors, not a peep. I have seen what I would expect on my other car in traffic so maybe I just haven't run across that in my first two days. yeah, its early.

All that said, just how do we verify our electronic toys are working. We paid a lot of money for this safety feature.

Wouldn't be the first time a faulty pre-collision camera has been installed. Get it checked.
