2025 Lariat Hybrid order changed to 2026

I ordered 2025 lariat hybrid in early July. I had communications with dealer and ford that it had not been scheduled for production yet. My dealer called two days ago and said that for was changing my order from a 2025 to a 2026 and they could not give me estimate when will receive. Does that sound right?

my 2022 hybrid turned into a 2023 Tremor and then a 2025 Hybrid finally.

Yes, I had originally ordered a MY23 but it did not get scheduled so my order rolled over into a similar 24 unfortunately I lost the door keypad, heated wipers and it cost me a little more but I did get the spray in liner added as standard in my trim level. I think the wait back then was 344 days from order to arrival at my dealer.

At this stage of the Maverick game I agree.

If OPs zip is accurate they are near Amelia City, FL and a quick search on cars.com shows 175 2025 hybrids for sale within 150 miles, 90 available within 100 miles, and 34 available within 50 miles.

They should be able to find something they like.

you won't receive the sliding back window or 1 touch up and down window controls on all windows as standard equipment on the 26. the window is a $350 ? option and the windows and phone charging pad have been eliminated

DEFINITELY look line by line with dealership to make sure you get what you wanted.

Our '22 was converted to '23 and ended up dropping several things we wanted because dealer didn't transfer everything over.

AND '26 might be priced higher- might want to go to dealers and grab existing stock?

I’m glad to hear that I’m selling everything and retiring to Florida and should be actively shopping in January or February.

Not unheard of if you ordered late in the model year. I had one of my 23 orders converted to a 24 despite ordering on the first possible day.

Search for local inventory. Take a couple hour drive if necessary. There was nothing improved in the 26 model year. Only features taken away.

yeah that's what they do - Ford likely sent out directives to dealers who took later 25 orders and won't be able to produce them to contact buyers - you might want to see if you will maintain your position in their queue and not be put at the end of the line behind earlier '26 orders - typically you should stay where you were but you might want to get with your dealer and make sure they keep you where you are.

I ordered a '25 Lariat at the end of July. Built week of 10/2 and has been delivered to stealership yesterday. So maybe some straggler '25s are still running off the line. Since I ordered Eruption Green, I expect Ford is finishing up on those since the color is only for the '25 models.

Getting the truck soon!! So excited!!!

Amen. Some how I got mine in ten weeks at the end of last year ( Dec 27 2024 to be exact)
