Here's the dash on a 2025. The miles to empty is on the bottom right and is always there. You can tell this is EcoBoost because there's only three digits in the miles till empty 😆 Almost time for my 10,000 mile review. I've been having way too much fun in this truck and I got there way too fast 😁

I've had my truck for almost a month and never seen it between the hash marks, only on them, 1800 miles and my 5th tank. Honestly, I just look at the estimated range left.
I've had my '25 now for 6 months and it does move in increments of 1/8th.

When we drove our new Tremor home from the dealer back in March, we looked at the fuel gauge and thought, “Huh, guess they don’t fill the tank anymore when you buy a new one.” So we pulled into the nearest station to top it off—and I could only get about 0.6 gallons in. That’s when it hit us: the red portion of the gauge isn’t “empty”—it’s just part of the design.

Honestly, I’m not a fan of the gauge layout. It’s a little misleading at a glance. But since it can’t be changed, I’ll live with it. That said, it’s the only real complaint I have about the Tremor.

Unrelated to the gas gauge, but another thing I noticed is on the 2025 hybrid, the power meter has the white "engine" icon next to it; turns out that it has two shades of white, bright white for when the engine is running and dim white/grey for when you are in electric mode and the engine is off... Took me a minute to notice that one!

Speaking of cockpit inspired gauge clusters, there are actually a lot of similarities between this and the 1985 Subaru XT cluster. Old timers will appreciate the sheer number of buttons in the 1985 too if you watch Doug's full review on the quirky car. Link to the gauge cluster part of the video: (Inspired to post this based on the Toyota/Subaru truck thread)

Below is mine:

Notice, I just filled it up. 477 mile range on an Ecoboost. I drive it ‘briskly’

Come on Ford, give us new features and give us back simple old school gages.
And buttons,
And knobs,
And dials,
Sorry, Ford, us old fools will be dead soon enough.
It’s far easier to baffle these younger ones with bells and whistles.
I'm completely happy with the the new controls and gauges, and like most of the changes.

Well that's 1 for, 200,017 against 😜 . It really doesn't matter if we like them or not they are here to stay. I didn't like it so bought a 2024. But in all honesty I rarely look at the tach or speedo just the digital MPH in the middle.
Nah, the only ones who say they hate the 25's are those who have older models and can't justify spending for the upgrade. Most 25 owners love the improvements. But yea, my 23 was better. NOT!

You 24’ owners are clearly inferior to us 25’ owners! :cwl:
You can clearly see the eight fuel gauge increments if you look at the gauge in the right light.

My 2006 Prius used 12 bars that would eliminate as the fuel level went down. I really liked that and it was plainly easy to see how much I had.

At first I was not a fan of the 25 fuel gauge but now I don’t think about it much. I do absolutely love my truck.

My point exactly I bought it with a 2025 right there. Test drove the 2025 and with a CHOICE I chose the 2024. I could have bought a platinum F-150, didn't want it either. Given the choice again I still HATE the digital dash and big TV screen. I would prefer a smaller screen than what is in the 2024.
You certainly saved a few thousand dollars.

From what I've read, the car companies are starting to realize that a lot of us are fed up with everything done via touch-screen, and are planning to start designing in more physical controls. Just be prepared to wait out the long design-to-production cycles.

I am prepared. My 2024 should carry me six or seven years.
