I have one reserved, as well as a Tesla Cybertruck and Canoo pickup. First one that contacts me that my reservation is ready to build gets my business. Hopefully I get my Maverick Hybrid XLT before that happens.

I used to own a 2003 Avalanche and I'm thrilled that GM is bringing back the Avalanche. The midgate system was such an ingenious system that I would use often. I really wish they would make it smaller like Colorado size. In small trucks where bed space is at a premium, the midgate would be perfect. By the time this hits the streets, I'll be ready to trade in my Maverick.

So why is this not posted on the Chevy EV truck club site. Doesn’t belong here, not even comparable to the Maverick.
Exactly the Maverick has a higher payload

The new Avalanche will have up to 20,000 pounds in towing capacity. The payload of the Avalanche is similar to the F150 lightening.

This just makes me want a Maverick EV or PHEV soon. If the price is right, it would be perfect.

Because when cheaper versions come out, there will be folks who cross shop an all electric pickup with a hybrid pickup.

Just because they're only a portion of the folks who would look at the Maverick doesn't mean there isn't any overlap. Frankly that 40k work truck version they won't sell to us looks pretty nice.

Heck, the F-150 Lightning Pro isn’t too bad for the price. I’ve got little kids so vinyl seats and rubber floors would be easier to clean! Plus, I rarely need over 230 miles of range. If it came with the pro charger, I’d be down for the work truck.

Maverick has better payload. Lol.

I also don't like the idea of these EV trucks (this and the Hummer EV) that weigh up to 9000lbs and can go 0-60 3-4.5 secs.
You'll payload(s) more for the Silverado...
