Wow. That surprised me. Off road work I would think would be harder on a RDU than towing 4k

So I've continued to read and research on this idea and it seems to make some sense that the decreased towing limit on the Tremor is actually due to a combination of factors rather than just the difference in the RDU alone. Things like the factory lift, softer suspension, differences in the cooling, the simulated locking rear diff, etc. all seem to align in a way that adds up to a lower payload and towing capacity.

The short answer is that the Maverick Tremor lacks the specific heavy-duty cooling and gearing hardware found in the "4K Tow Package," and its specialized off-road suspension is too soft to safely manage the tongue weight and stability requirements of a 4,000-pound trailer.
While the Tremor has the same 2.0L EcoBoost engine as the trucks that can tow 4,000 lbs, it is fundamentally optimized for trail riding rather than heavy hauling.

Towing 4,000 lbs puts immense heat stress on a vehicle’s powertrain. The Maverick’s 4K Tow Package adds several critical cooling components that the Tremor does not have:

Upgraded Radiator
Upgraded Cooling Fans
Transmission Oil Cooler

Differing Gearing
Soft Off-Road Suspension
Aerodynamics and Packaging

You’re going to face a challenge, CCBL. Magnaflow does not offer a complete catback - and even their standalone mufflers won’t work. Your OEM muffler has the the hanger connector welded on to it. Any standalone aftermarket muffler won’t. This is the underside of your 24 Tremor:

Borla does make a complete catback for your Tremor I think $800 - but those of us who bought one say “ouch - too loud!!” unless you spend $100s more modifying it.

Borla does make a complete catback for your Tremor I think $800 - but those of us who bought one say “ouch - too loud!!” unless you spend $100s more modifying it.

Good point - yes they could weld on hanger connector. Maybe magnaflow makes on offset input/output muffler that WOULD work! I like how you think
