Just came across this new youtube review from some boys up north. They took it on some decent trails and got it almost as dirty as Ive gotten mine.
They did bash it for not having more cameras, would be cool but only at a certain price point. Like I wouldnt pay $1500 extra for em. But otherwise solid review and they tore it up less than a Bronco Sport they took on the same trail(not sure which trim).

lol, newbies, their constant yacking was pretty annoying
good thing it didn't have the front camera as there really wasn't anything else to bitch about.

Yeah the one guy seemed to think it was pointless to drive it without a front camera. But hey it had some good shots on some tight trails.

If I were to watch that again it would be on mute. Some of the gnarly sections of that "difficult" trail are similar to the access road to the family hunting camp if you'd add in a water crossing.
looking at their home page shows their focus is street cars and just breaking into off road content. considering the number of no camera comments you might expect them to have more cameras filming action rather than selfies of their banter.

The worst of the trail was about like my driveway. Still challenging during floods and such. I have had a subaru outback have to make multiple attempts to get out.

Those guys would have died 20 years ago, when no one needed cameras, lol. Those "younguns" are spoiled. Also, why didn't they just leave the rear locker engaged? I mean, you know you're going off roading, leave the damn locker on.

I've done both leaving the locker on or off. When I was in Colorado going up the mountain, i needed it for a couple snow sections but there was about a whole half hour in between, but in Moab there was a few long sections where I needed it on and off every 5 minutes, then I would just leave it on for a long time.

Still it works damn good. Plenty of times I was at the limit where I started to dig and I hit the button and all of a sudden found a little more traction and got moving.

I cut my teeth wheeling in old beat up and built CJs, they had no visibility once you got a little mud on the window. Ofcourse then you just fold the windshield down. But the only sort of techno-aide my jeeps had was 100 watt halogen lights and twin stick transfer case shifter. Traction control was provided by a manual transmission and Interco SuperSwampers.
