I don't see how this could possibly be an issue.

1. Manufactures have been using these for decades.
2. Basically all of the cooling is done via the radiator.
3. The hybrid engine is very efficient and reaching and maintaining operating temperature is impactful for gas mileage in this system, especially during cold weather.

I am working on a cover of my own design it will be 1/8 thick alum. with slots for air and it will have stand-of brackets that use the 2 threaded holes in back with the 2 ball mount studs in front . It will be a lot like the other brand that is made but for the hybrid. Will take pictures when i get a prototype done
Any progress on this?

I don't see how this could possibly be an issue.

3. The hybrid engine is very efficient and reaching and maintaining operating temperature is impactful for gas mileage in this system, especially during cold weather.
Actually - a cover would likely limit the amount of milkshake around the oil fill area also due to plastic and much colder in normal condition.
