I already used both of my Flexbed connectors with Maverick Innovations products but would like to install bed lighting or another set of USB outlets.
I started searching for a splitter for the factory connector since included plugs are easy to come by. Unfortunately, not anything our there...
Joined the 600 mile club today. Running E15, too! Added 14.2 more gallons of E15, since it sells at a substantial discount vs E10. Hand calculation says 42.3mpg.
Did about 100 miles of 75mph interstate on this tank, rest was city and urban/rural highway.
Great explanation, thank you. You're right I forgot that bit of nuance regarding MG1 and MG2.
I've only driven this truck about 1500 miles over six weeks, but I have NEVER seen the large EV blue bar from a stop. The EV coach bar is always small at a stop and grows as I accelerate. At least as...
I thought the most interesting part was how MG1 and MG2 interact with the planetary gear set and the wheels.
It explains (at least my layman's understanding) why the blue EV bar grows as the vehicle takes off from a stop: the bigger MG2 can't spin until the tires are spinning and is limited...
Of course you can share your own opinion, but when you offer it unqualified and without context and contrary to mfr recommendations, prepare to get feedback. Your oil change intervals are also a choice, based on your specific extreme weather. Maybe add your context by editing your earlier...
Please stop advocating for guidance contrary to manufacturing and warranty specifications. Open your manual or search the web. Directly from the manual:
And if that isn't enough, multiple owners have reported OLMs allowing over 10,000 miles and independent oil testing showing within spec...
You know what, I agree. I'm going to use a pencil and paper because calculators can't be trusted.
Anyway, see you all later, back on my horse because these gasoline auto cycles are loud and scary.
When I get home I'm going to fire up my wood stove because since I can't see natural gas, I don't...
My pleasure. It's an easy five minute install, the challenge is finding the cover itself
Edit: forgot to add I agree this was a cheap cost savings move (just like excluding a hoodliner).
That, along with every other nook and cranny in the engine bay, anywhere under or behind the dash, the HVAC filter housing, any cavity with insulation, and the entire interior including where the critical wires run under the rear seat. Rodents love cars.
I hope your post was intended to be...
For those who have questions and are considering an engine cover for their hybrid, I wanted to collect all the information in a single thread. This is my first contribution, hope it is helpful!
I was fortunate to find a used junkyard engine cover from a Ford Escape Hybrid for $50 plus shipping...
Stumbled upon a video.
The cover appears to be thin plastic backed by a thicker piece of rubberized foam. Given the construction and their use by Ford on more expensive hybrids like the Escape and Lincolns, I'd bet they do a decent job at knocking down sound.
Fixed it for you.
At that rate, you'll strip the oil pan threads long before the engine dies. Take the L buddy, no one cares except you keep asserting this with zero data or literature to back it up.
Now you've got me contemplating running my oil to 15k or 20k and doing Blackstone analysis.😂
Don't overthink it.
Hybrids don't automatically require an extreme duty oil change interval as Master Blaster stated. Ford does not require it either. In fact, Ford warranties the engine using intervals according to the OLM or at one year, whichever occurs first. To suggest changing the oil...
