Doesn't it have to be "married" to the car?
Installing it would be "marrying" it to the car. Before I traded my 22 in I uninstalled the AP and "unmarried" it.

Yes, that is achieved via 'install' button after you select the vehicle in accessport manager which he reported as non-functioning. I actually didn't expect it to work right away as it took some time and effort for Cobb Tuning to support the '23 and then '24. they did not just plug right in when models first got delivered.

If the AP is unmarried, you can select a different vehicle in AP manager as long as it's equal or lower license cost than the current/previously assigned vehicle. for example, a Nissan GT-R costs more, and you have to buy an upgrade license to choose that vehicle if you had previously used it on a Maverick.

I assume it gathers some logs and that's actually what CT wants to see. tkammen should reach out to them and see what's next.

I emailed Cobb today and told them what happened. I'm curious what they're going to say.

do you mean for a 2025?
Yes. I thought someone here may have reached out about compatibility with the new engine

Looks like they have a dedicated one for 2024+ Mustangs 2.3L which is the sister to our engines so I'm going to guess it's likely got enough of a difference to be unique

I would really like to have paddle shifters so I can preselect a gear before pulling out to pass or merge on the highway. I had a second gen lightly modified Veloster turbo, paddle shifting wasn't perfect, but it was far better than the hit or miss Maverick mapping. Paddle shifters in my turbo Passat are also reasonably effective.
I traded in my 2022 VW GTI for a Maverick LOBO because I needed a truck that could tow at least 2000 pounds. The LOBO has the 7 speed trans with paddle shifters similar to the GTI.
It drives similar to the GTI but not as precise in the throttle application or handling, after all it is about 600 pounds heaver, longer & wider. I'd like to call it a Maverick version of the GTI. Better rear sway bar and lowering springs are on my wish list.

Normal driving, my Maverick is as quick as my '21 WRX. I say that because it (WRX) wasn't the easiest vehicle to drive at least with a 6 speed. When I finally put the 93 livernois on it, I think it would easily outperform it.

I have a tuned 2023 GLI and id say the same. The easy torque and auto means its easier to dart through traffic. Once I get into boost on the GLI though, its no comparison. Especially passing on the highway.

That's funny, I sold my Maverick to get a '25 GLI. Sadly, the ECU on the news ones is locked (at least right now) so no tune in my future.

Reach out to IE, they "didnt" have a tune for my car until i pestered them a bit and they realized they did in fact have one. Much better throttle response than APR, and more responsive support than 034, just my .02.

I'll do that, thank you. I'm fine with the power of the GLI but I would love to have the DSG tune to make it shift more like my friends SQ5.
